I heard that when you're at a red traffic light for a while, you should put your car in neutral? Why is that?

Also, I have an automatic transmission. What do these do, and when should I use them? (L, 2,1)

Thank you so much!

My favorite thing to do when I am driving is race up in front of a driver on the expressway, get in front of him and just slow down. Lmao! I think that is SOOO hilarious. It's even more funny when another car is beside me so I can stay at the same speed of that driver, so it blocks off the driver behind me. Lmfao! It's called the blocker offer actually. It's becoming more popular. You drive directly beside the car next to you at a slow rate so other drivers can pass you up. But my all time fave is when someone is trying to get in my lane. What you do is you actually speed up to keep them from getting in your lane or drive directly beside them. Once they get over behind you, slow down a little bit. Oh yea, and in getting off the express way, slow down far in advance LMAO!!!

Im currently studying to be a general mechanic but plan on continuing on to be a diesel mechanic. I'm not too sure what field i'd like to work on whether it be automotive diesel, light/medium trucks, or industrial trucks. I have an outline of what my tool set would consist of as a regular mechanic but want to start planning what I would need if I were to work the light/medium or industrial truck category. What size drive tools.... 3/4 or 1 inch? I have mostly metric sizing, to what extent would I need to invest in standard size sockets and wrenches? How much lbs. of force would I need out of my impact tools? I know there is a broad variety of specialty tools that vary by manufacturer make. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated.

produced is the cause of this rise in price. Do you think it will always be more expensive than gas, or do you think it will, at some point, go back to being cheaper than gas?

I'm looking far into the future for a summer project and am thinking of trying to put together a motorized bicycle from home parts. I've been searching the net trying to find some guidance, just so I don't kill myself, but I'm having difficulties. I'm searching for ANY help, plans, possible parts, past experience, anything. Thanks!

I had Michelin PS2's before and ran them at about 35psi, which I guess was low. Now I have Yokohama's and they're at about 45. I can't floor it in 1st gear without loosing the back end or the traction control kicking in. This didn't seem to be true before. So I'm wondering if it is the tires, the pressure or maybe it's winter time now. I am in California so I'm not sure if 50 degrees vs. 80 degrees will make that much difference. I'm driving an M3 by the way.
