To cut a long story short the local council have towed away my car as some curtain twitcher has reported it as "abandoned"
Now my car was not abandoned it was taxed and MOT'd and its been having work done to it by my mechanic who incidently has been moving it up and down the road whilst working on it, it hasn't been parked illegally its taxed till next month and mot'd till march just not insured surly the council had no right in doing this? We are going to appeal this but has anyone got any suggestions?

I've heard reports that fuel costs $2 per gallon in the US and they complain about that. In the UK it costs $9-10 a gallon.

My driveway is on a slight hill. I think my tires must stink even though they're new and all weather. I could not really get up the driveway. I had to really try about 3 times, really revving it, i smelled burning rubber. I'm actaully kind of pissed, because there are quite a few other people living in my 3 family house. Anyways...is this reeally dangerous for the car to force it up a snowy driveway. OTher alternative is leave it on the st and get a ticket.

I don't know, maybe it's me.
But there is nothing better sounding than an 8 cylinder vehicle with a nice deep sound to it.
I have to laugh every time I hear or see a 4 cylinder and it sounds like a moped!
Actually our lawn mower sounds much better than these itty bitty cars.
I guess I am just a muscle car girl. :-)

Are they sensers? Cameras for people who run red lights? I just ran a red light and I noticed some bright flashes. Am I caught then? Are could it just be bright lights from surrounding cars? I'm worried, please help.

New York City's uniquely high rate of public transit use makes it one of the most energy-efficient cities in the United States. Gasoline consumption in the city today is at the rate of the national average in the 1920s.

What is the rest of USA doing. Why public transports like buses are not too good in USA?
It is an opportunity for private players to start bus services and make money; save fuel. Look at Europe.

How come every time a 16 year old asks a question about a BMW or Mercedes or something that they're getting for their birthday, people have to be jealous and rude? I don't think you should judge people about something like that. Why should you hate someone whos parents got a better job then yours? It's not like they can control what their parents do. Everyone says how they have to work for their money and kids don't deserve a car. How would you know? Maybe they do.

My boyfriend just started working for honda as a tech and his hands are GROSSSS! His hands have always been extremely dry and rough to begin with so it seems to actually absorb the oil and grease from the cars. Soap doesnt work, the soap they have at work does not work, I've even forced him to get manicures with me and those did not work.

What soap is strong enough for this?

I'm just beginning to learn how to drive, and my father and I were unsure whether a cop can pull us over if we drive in a parking lot.
We were about to in a large lot, but it did have some cars, and 2 police officers there.
(I do have my permit)
