No 16 year old "deserves" a car. Some parents give their children too much, and the children become spoiled. They do not understand how lucky that they are.
It is a waste of money to give an expensive vehicle to an inexperienced driver. They are much more likely to damage the vehicle, due to their lack of skill driving.
When you earn something, you value it more! When you are given something, and do not have to do anything to get it, you tend to not care for it as well! You also have the fact that new drivers should be under parental supervision until they have proven themselves to be skilled and trustworthy! When they have their own car, parental supervision is much less!
At the very least, any new vehicle in in the household should go to a parent, and if the child is going to get a vehicle, it should be either an older used car, or a parent's car.

People are being impolite approximately your daughter bc your daughter used to be VERY impolite to YOU over some thing that she must be thankful over. You purchased her a CAR! You didnt opt for out the mistaken sweater or footwear. I understand you like your daughter nevertheless it does appear like she is somewhat out of manage, no disrespect, im definite the whole thing you probably did and the way you raised her used to be out of affection however she must no longer have yelled at you for buying a vehicle she didn't like and he or she is sixteen, to you wish a "your going to be a grandma in nine months" as a early christmas reward? please get up, purchasing her a different vehicle and letting her move keep over at her bfs isn't going to aid her, it teaches her that she will throw a are compatible and you're going to cave to her. You are the father or mother, no longer her. You have got to exhibit a few difficult love earlier than you lose entire manage over her, in the event you havent already. I dont imply something imply by way of this however natural, you must NOT believe responsible for doing a VERY gracious factor and purchasing her a vehicle you proposal she desired, you probably did not anything mistaken and he or she did. NO ONE AT 16 DESERVES A BMW OR MERCEDES. I DON'T CARE WHO THEY ARE OR HOW GOOD THEY ARE. THEY COULD BE THE NEXT MOTHER THERESA AND THEY STILL WOULD NOT DESERVE THAT.
I am an adult and have had to work for everything, literally everything I have had in my life. And believe me, I appreciated it so much more than any kid who had things handed to them by mommy and daddy. I had a late 70's model Chevy Impala as my first car, I had to pay for it. The car was not in the greatest of conditions, but it got me around and I could haul my friends places. It did not matter to me what it looked like. It was mine and that was good enough for me.
I thank God every night that I had the opportunity to earn the things I had and have.

Because teens don't appreciate the value of such a expensive car, and just because your parents have money to spend on expensive car doesn't mean that you should go buy it anyway. My opinion is teens should learn the value of something that's why you start them off in a used car that's not so expensive and test them and see how well they can take care of it without running it into a firetruck.

Because you don't learn the lessons of life when eveything is given to you by your parents. The problem comes when your parents aren't there anymore. You'll be in big trouble.
How about working and getting what you want from your own work and your own earnings?

because people who dont waste money on bmws know that all you rich selfish snobs dont really NEED it. and you waste your money or material crap, to make your helpless, comsumer-driven lives feel more worthy. partly that and yes partly jealousy. only the jealous people dont see how worthless material things can be, and what the terrible side effects are. and the fact that you are so young, when people work so hard for their entire lives, trying to get by month to month, where in just a different class, you have things given to you, when you have probiably never worked a day in your life.
good luck with your materialistic future kid
