I had a few friends over, my parents were asleep, but one kid needed a ride home b/c he had to wake up early. its like 11pm (and dark). If i got in my parents car with my permit and drove this kid home (about 5 miles) and i got pulled over by a cop. And i only had a permit, how much trouble would i be in? do you think they might let me off and just give me a warning type thing? b/c i want to drive alone

I live in a somewhat rural area, so i doubt there are cops. ill prolly just take my chances, but im only going to do that kind of driving by myself with a permit if i have to. oh to who ever asked how do i have my permit at 15 years old. in south carolina you have to be 15 to get the permit and you have to have had your permit for 180 days before you get your restricted. so this summer i will have a restricted

G'day Dylan!
To try driving your friend home is a noble thought, but very dangerous. Should anything happen, you will be in a lot of trouble. You want to do the right thing by your friend, but, it is your neck that is on the block should something happen.
For example, if you are involved in an accident due to a drunk driver hitting you, you would not have a leg to stand on. If a conviction is recorded against you, that would be against your name for life. Having a conviction of any sort is often enough to prevent entry to some countries, if you are thinking about travelling overseas at a later time in life. Not to mention what it would do to your personal file and your employment chances. Where I live, many jobs are reliant on a clean driving record. Even one minor offence is enough to miss out on some jobs. Prohibitation from obtaining a drivers license is a major offence and will affect your employment with many employers.
I do hope that you think about your future moreso than now.
Ding.

If you have a valid permit at the age of 15 (in India it is at the age of 18) then you should be escorted to your home with very strong warning, so that you should not repeat in future

that could happen but more than likely you would lose your permit. I would suggest not doing that because you want to drive alone and you wont be able to do that for 3 more years at worst. Not a great idea to do. Sorry i know thats not what you want to hear but its the truth

You can get charged with driving without a valid license. In Australia, it can carry hefty fines so it's worth looking into exactly what you'd be charged with. They might let you off with a warning, but I wouldn't rely on that! And don't take chances.

I know where I live you run the risk of losing your driving privileges until your 21st birthday. Also you face time in a Juvenile detention center and a fine plus your parents could also be held responsible for your actions should anything happen.

they will maor then llikly call your parnets and take your premit. with a premit you need some 18 or 21 in the front seat with you. if you really want to drive alone then wait till you get you d/L and dont risk it. if you have to wake your mom or dad up to drive your friend home

No you would be absolutely F***ed. They would give you a gigantic ticket that a judge would not bring down, you would lose you license till you were at least 18 and they could put criminal charges on you a** because you put your friends in danger.

Get caught and you won't be eligible for a license until after your 18th birthday in most states that I'm familiar with. Bad scene hoss. Don't do it.
