To answer your question without bias...you can expect to get a traffic fine in the mail. Usually you may dispute the process, but the cameras are usually designed for very high speed and close up. The ticket in itself will not raise your insurance premiums. The ticket is designed to be mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle, regardless of whether or not you had care and custody of the vehicle. Hope that this helps.

Did you get a ticket in the mail? How do you know that it took your picture? Did you see it? Insurance premiums could go up, but they probably won't unless you have had other tickets also. Depending on where you are located, ticket costs vary, but sometimes in some courts, they will dismiss the ticket with a warning if you haven't been in there with a ticket before, and some others will offer driving school for minor traffic violations; it all depends on what state you were in.

I don't know about your state but in Texas running a red light is as serious as you can get. More people are killed and injured by red light runners than most any other single violation. Most T Bone collisions are from red light and stop sign violations.
