I have a 1993 Honda CBR600 F2. I want to get the seat reupholstered but I can't get it off. I thought it would pop up as easily as my yamaha fzr 600 seat, but it doesn't. Does anyone know how to take the seat off?

Hello, I dropped my virago a couple days ago when I forgot to take the dick lock off! haha, silly I know.

Anyway, it fell and petrol starting to leak out of the chrome pod air filters. I picked it up and the leak stopped.

Nothing was really damage for what I can see (just a mirror slightly), I was lucky in that regards and the bike started no probs.... I just want to know, should I be concerned about the petrol that leaked? or does it have some overflow, safety feature which caused this?

I have a friend who is selling his 2005 Honda Cbr 600rr. It's only got 5,000 miles on it and has never been dropped. He bought it to use as a stunt bike but decided not to use it. He has gotten rid of the fairings and installed a crash cage.

Now the dilemma...I've never ridden a bike before and I know this one is a beast (roommate owns a F4i and I've read other yahoo answers), but the price is ridiculously good (under $3,000) and I think that the crash cage could come in handy (for when I do drop the bike, b/c I know it will happen).

I'm a 24 y/o male with no previous wrecks so insurance isn't too bad. I've looked into other starter bikes like the gs500 and a ninja 500, but they are priced more than this and usually have more miles.

So in your opinion, should I get the CBR or not?

I wanted to do an oil filter change but only managed to do an oil change as the filter would not come off. The bike was bought second hand and thought i would service it a bit. it took ages to get the drainage bolt off too. next time i do it it will be easier as i have placed a new bolt in etc.

Anyway. i tried the filter lid remover and turned it with a wrench and it just slid around the filter. i used a tool that tightens a metal band and this just slid around the filter too.

Any ideas for my next change. also if anyone knows if it is anti or clock wise to turn this would be a great help. Cheers lads

Is it illegal to ride a pocket bike on a public street in BC? It is gas powered.

Recently I've noticed that steering my bike round corners at low speed (less than 10mph) has become difficult. The steering feels very stiff, as if I really had to force the bars around, like there's some obstacle preventing a smooth transition.
The front tyre is new so it can't be that I've squared it off. I've checked the tyre pressures and they're at the manaufacturer's spec.
Does anyone know what might be causing this stiff steering? And how too overcome it? (The bike is a '97 Bandit 600)

Just bought my first bike this week. I'm 5'5" (and 3/4") and my feet touch the ground, but not completely (heels don't reach). According to manu. specs. the seat height is about 31" high. I would like to seat to be an inch or two lower so I can practice riding a bit more comfortably.

Were these seats made to be adjustable?
Or is this something of a more "Custom" matter?
Would lowering the bike be better (if it's safe for that model), if the seat isn't adjustable?

Don't have the owner's manual, I bought it used a few days ago.

All feedback appreciated, thanks in advance!

The rear wheel is a 17x3.5.The bike comes with a 130 tire out back. Can something wider than that fit on that stock wheel??If not , are there other wheels that can be used to hold a wider tire? Also, can the seat height be lowered considerably by adjusting the shocks??(Am used to 24-27in seat ht)The bike looks sharp and I am really interested in getting one, but am accustomed to the look of at least a 150 or 160 out back.Thanx

I just got my first bike (1990 VFR750) The bike is in perfect condition (no joke) there's not a scratch on it. Soon I'll be used to the power and looks and will want to upgrade, I don't mind spending some money, but I don't want anything cheesy like rims or undercarriage neons. What can I do to make my motorcycle sound/look cooler, and most of all make it MORE POWERFUL!
(The bike already has yoshi exhaust, full ferrings, and a rear seat coul.)
