I would let her ride the bike off into the sunset if she promised never to come back.

If you really love motorcycling, your wife should not be asking you to choose. My own wife was not keen on me getting a motorcycle, but I basically told her that it wasn't up to her. If you give in on this, you'll be expected to give in on everything. You just have to make sure she understands that not everything is about her. Your motorcycle is your hobby. If she doesn't like it, she doesn't have to come along.

So in a nutshell, I wouldn't give up either one. Just make her choose if the motorcycle is really that big of an issue that she's willing to toss your relationship over it. But make it clear that it's her choice, not yours.

My motorcycle came first and then my wife and she understood that it was part of me. I do not have to choose. I also bought her her own bike so she could leave me to mine. She loves her bike too and we love riding together.

I'm the lucky one with no choice to make.

The bike stays, come hell, or high water. I may wind up a parapalegic and unable to ride, and the bike still stays. Until the day I die.

The wife can divorce me whenever she wants, that's up to her. (and about as likely as her telling me to get rid of the bike.)

you ditch the old lady and use the motorcycle to pick up a better one.

Why would you have to give one up? Maybe you should compromise. It is your life and you chose to have a wife and you chose to have a bike. I'd keep them both. Maybe cut back on the bike a bit until she gets over it. Good luck.

I would diffidently choose my motorcycle. I love how it talks to me.

That's a pretty reasonable question.

A motorcycle recently killed a really sweet guy at my church.

A woman you love dearly.

Do you really love your wife that much?
