Husband was knocked off his bike two weeks ago and his head scratched the floor slightly with his helmet. No obvious damage and his head did not bang down on the floor. It is a very new helmet but ive been told it should still be replaced. What do you think?

Hey all.
My question is involving the thunderheader exhaust.
The only system for my bike, an 07 dyna, that I can find by thunderheader says it is Black. Well I know what that means, but right about it, it also says 06-07 dyna TC88. Now, I'm not sure why this is? Mine is a TC96 and it can work with other exhaust systems that are 06-07 dynas, and they dont say need to be a TC88. Can anyone correct me on this, or do they just not make a Thunderheader for my bike yet? (other than black, which I don't really want?)

thanks

No helmet law for CT but there is for surrounding states. Anyway I've seen a few people riding around with their helmet firmly attached to the side/rear of their bike. They were going a little to fast for me to get a good look at what the fixture was though.

All the helmet locks I've seen attach with either a cable, or to the D-ring. A helmet would flop around while trying to ride with either of those; they are just for attaching your helmet while not riding.

So I'm looking for some sort of apparatus that will hold a helmet perfectly still while riding, and obviously not get in the way of operating the bike.

My sons aged 12 & 7 both want a turn on the back of their Dad's Harley. I suspect it is legal for the 12 year old , providing he has the proper protective gear, but I think my 7 year old is too young. Anyone know ?

I had a motorcycle accident on August 27, 2004 near Squashville Road in Saratoga County, NY. (I know - funny road to have an accident on!) I was in ICU for 2 1/2 weeks at Albany Medical Center and would like to get info whether official or not.. The state police said to go to DMV and DMV said to go to the state police. I tried to get info from local news sources and they wanted to charge me. Actually so did DMV. Is there any EASY way to get info on MY accident without having to jump through beaurocratic hoops? I even asked my insurance company, they were no help. It shouldn't be this hard.

My father has 2-year-old gas in his Harley, and it sounds like crap. He's trying to run it out by using it up and adding new gas whenever he can. Is he damaging his bike? Should he just drain all the old gas out? Thanks.

I'm looking to get a used sportsbike within the next 6 months and I don't know which will be best to start out with. I really like the Kawasaki Ninja 600. They're really comfortable to ride and I REALLY like the way they look. However, I don't know if it'll be a good starter bike for me. I'm about 5'5"-5'6" and weigh about 105lbs. (I'm little....I know.) I've been told to get a Honda CBR as those are "girly bikes" or to get a Suzuki Gixxer 600. Which rocket is best for a woman my size? Oh! And please don't try to discourage me from getting a bike. I'm getting one regardless so you're just wasting your time as well as mine. Thanks!!

I believe this is a code. I was wondering if anyone knows what this means, or has a link to where I may be able to find out. Also, right behind the rear shock there is a black box I think this controls Yamahas Exup system. It is now making a funny buzzing sound and I was just wondering if anyone knowsnwhat the problem is, has any info on it , or is currently having the same problem with there bike.

I have a slight movement disorder that makes fastening the typical helmet trap somewhat difficult. Does anyone know of a source of alternative helmet buckles. I am not sure one of those plastic style clips would be very strong, but, maybe something like a mini seat belt buckle would work. Websites, company names, phone numbers appreciated.

I've just had a 125 scooter motor rebuilt ( I live in Taiwan ) and the mechanic told me to use 92 rating fuel. This is the lowest octane here. 92, 95, 98 are the choices. Why would a lower octane rating be better for a new engine?
