I have a slight movement disorder that makes fastening the typical helmet trap somewhat difficult. Does anyone know of a source of alternative helmet buckles. I am not sure one of those plastic style clips would be very strong, but, maybe something like a mini seat belt buckle would work. Websites, company names, phone numbers appreciated.

Some helmets come with proper buckles. I use a Bieffe, and I don't actually like the buckle, though. It's no easier to use than D-rings (my hands work OK, though), and it always needs adjustment, which of course you do with D-rings every time you put it on.

Don't use some plastic buckle, though. It'll pull off when you need the helmet.

look in a motorcycle catalog that sells helmets and look under the fastening type if it says cam ten it is like a seat belt latch. The little latches they sell in the bike shops really work, I'm using one with no problems, I was also leery of them but now I am a beliver
