My speedometer in my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer keeps going up once I get to the "12 o'clock" position on the speedometer. If I stay below 60mph (12 o'clock) it works fine but, soon as I go over that speed it keeps going and the only way to get it back to 0 is to keep turning it off and starting again then, it drops 5 mph each time. I just wanted to know if there was a quick fix before I take it to the pros. Plus, where I am there is no GM dealerships. Please help me if you can.

I have the battery checked everytime this happens and the batt. is good, but needs recharged. Im often left stranded at work, store, etc. and have to have a friend take me somewhere to recharge batt. What, besides alternator and belts could be draining the battery? Thanks in advance for your help.

My 5 year old was hanging on it and it slid off. GGrrrr. The post/button piece is still attached to the window. I just need to slide it on but can't quite figure it out. Do I need to press harder or does it somehow rotate and slide on. Thanks for any tips.

After spending over $300 to buy and install new front struts and back shocks in November, my 1994 Dodge Spirit is back to riding rough again (Though it seems to only be in the front). Is there anything I can install on my car to cause it to ride smoother, other than what I already did?

ok---well i have a question for all you mechanics and such out there. Im trying to install a ignition lock for my car. I took the old one out no problem but cant get the new one in. One problem with that is that my radio is left on and wont turn off unless i can get this new one in, and i also need the car for work tommorrow. It came with instructions but they dont make sense, in other words i need more assistance. the instructions say to "insert the cylinder into the lock housing without the key" i did that...then "make sure that the retaining pin is in contact with the lip of the housing"...and then insert the key. Rotate the plug to the on position, depress the retaining pin and push inward on the lock cylinder". I tried this but it seems the lock isnt going in all the way and the pin isnt getting to where it suppose to be---hence i try to take the key out and the whole thing pops out again...can somebody elaborate and tell me what i should do? And what is the retaintingpin

I have a 1997 Suzuki Vitara JLX model. Recently, when driving for roughly 20 minutes or more, i find it very hard to put the car into first gear and if i try to put it in reverse, it grinds. This does not happen when i start the car, only after driving for roughly 20 or more minutes. I have to turn off the engine and wait a while before resuming driving normally and not experiencing the same problem. Please help!

Hello everyone!

I have a 1989 Buick Riviera and I am seriously thinking about cutting out my catalytic converter. I was wondering if I would notice any improvements on power or fuel economy? What about the noise level? Currently, I have a custom dual exhaust system (V-Force) that is LOUD! (I would recommend this brand of exhaust to anyone who wants an awesome sounding vehicle for half the price!) Will the absence of a cat make it louder? Lastly, the most important question of all...will I see flames coming out of my tail pipes at night? I know that vehicles that are strait piped will have flames coming out the tail pipes, but what about a vehicle that has mufflers? Do the flames pass through or no? Thanks for all of your help and have a great day!

Oh yea, and the county that I live in has no emission laws/testing so this is an easy, fun, and legal upgrade to my Riv! And since my car is an '89 I don't have to worry about sensors and all that electronic crap that newer cars have.

Has anyone ever used those little kits you can buy? Do they work? Which ones are better? Or should I just take it to a glass repair place?

i have a 88 honda civic LX...and recently the car will only run if i hold the key to start it and keep holding it---otherwise if i let go of the key, the key wont stick and snap back. I was told this was the tumbler? Is this true because i was told if it was the ignition switch itself the car wouldnt start at all...can anyone confirm this?

Maxima 2000 130000 on it

The question is

About a week ago, and since then
Cold morning, I change to Reverse to get out of parking lot, RPM drops and the engine is killed.
I had to rev it up really quick to keep the engine alive.
After it is fully warmed up(10-15min), it seemed to be OK

I havn't had any stall or jerk while driving.

Today, I drove about 20min, and parked waiting for someone, after about 2min, RPM suddenly drops and DIES!
It was Fully warmed up and it died after i parked for 2min out of nowhere.

I do not know much about cars so I am trying to figure out something before i get rip off...(not all mechanics are like that but there is few...T T )

My buddy saids it might be Mass Air Flow Sensor but I would like to hear some experienced mechanics.

Thank you...

Jun

I bought a new Honda Civic last month. I left my lights on today whilst at work, and had to have a friend give me a jumpstart. It started and I drove home (about 90 minute drive). Do I need to replace the battery now? Again, the battery is a month old.

Hi, my '95 VW Golf GL 2.0 starts jerking after about 5 minutes of driving. Could someone tell what the problem could be? My father thought it was fuel filter, but after changing it, the problem did not go away. The jerking is especially noticeable during slower speed 10-50. When I step on gas to go fast it seems to go away, until I slow down again. It (the jerking) also goes away when I am driving in neutral. My cars FWD. I had fuel injector problems before with this car, so maybe fuel injector could be the problem? Someone mentioned fuel pump, could it be the fuel pump? I do not want to start buying new parts until I know what the problem is. My car is also without a muffler at this moment, just that end part. But I was told that should not be causing the jerking or twitching. I highly doubt it's the tires too, because I know what it feels and sounds like when the tires are bad. Please let me know what could be causing this problem, or the best way to find out the problem. Thanks!
