I bought a new Honda Civic last month. I left my lights on today whilst at work, and had to have a friend give me a jumpstart. It started and I drove home (about 90 minute drive). Do I need to replace the battery now? Again, the battery is a month old.

A 90 min drive is sufficient to thoroughly recharge the battery.

It has been my experience in years past that once a battery has been discharged COMPLETELY, it loses some of it's reserve power, and it's useful life is reduced some. This will only be a problem if you live in freezing climates, and maybe not even then since yours is almost new.

If a battery is discharged and LEFT discharged for say, a week or two, it will often be ruined.

Your car has a thing called an alternator that basically functions to recharge the battery as the car operates.

Car batteries are designed to be recharged and running it down once is not enough to kill it, usually. If it takes a recharging and then starts your car, then it is still okay.

If it runs out of water, of one of its "cells" goes bad, you wouldn't be able to recharge it and then you'd have to get a new one.

No, your battery is fine, the 90 minute drive has it charged back up for you.

You should be ok, the battery should have recharged itself back to full strength.
