I have a 1995 Mazda MX-3 RS 4 Cyl 1.6L engine. Very recently, I have been stalling when I slow down or stop. When running at normal speeds, it is fine. I have changed the spark plugs and the fuel filter, but the problem persists. What else could be causing this issue? The engine only has about 90,000 original KMs on it, and it is regularly maintained...any help would be great! Thanks!!

I have a 1997 Toyota 4Runner that is in need of all components on the rear brakes. I need to find out about how much that should cost me in order to not get ripped off. I need drums, shoes, and anything else that should be replaced. Anybody have a rough number?

Aaargh, help! The starter motor on my 1993 1.8 petrol Mondeo has just gone, right before Christmas, just when I'm going to need it most to get around the country to see family etc. How much is it likely to cost me to get this repaired or replaced in a garage (including parts and labour)? Anyone have any idea? I'm going to try and get it into the garage tomorrow before I set off on Sunday, but I'm really worried about affording it.......

after spinning it around in the parking lot, the ABS light went on, the traction control went off, and the steering assist
*warning messages* all popped up on the information display. Powering down, and powering back up did no good, but the next morning, the warnings were gone. Question is - Did I make the car's sensors go haywire for a brief period of time due to the slush/snow mix getting someplace it shouldn't have or is something wrong with this generation of Grand Prix?

I just installed a new timing chain and gears in my grand am 3.1 because the timing was bad. I did everything correctly. The car started for about 5 seconds then died and won't start at all now.( it is cranking) It acts as if it wants to start, it just won't. ( no encoded keys incase you wondered aka chips in keys ) Could the thieft system be preventing it from starting? Any advice would be great.

last weeek our focus died on the motorway, initially it was thought that it was the timing belt tensioner, which has been fixed, but now the mechanic is saying that there is no compression in the engine. Does anyone know what causes this and how it can be fixed. Also, an idea of how much it would cost would be appreciated.

So here's the deal, I let my b/f use my car to go to work today, not saying he did anything to screw it up, but it was working fine before that.
I have a 2000 Chevy Malibu, The heater won't work, and the car is over heating. What the hell is going on, I just checked the anti freeze, it was low, so that solved the over heating problem, but whats with the heater? The air works fine.

It will only go up to 2500 rpm's and if I push down farther than a little bit the revs will go down below 1000 and the engine will start to choke.

It runs fine once the engine warms up though...my car is a 4-cyl 2000 Jetta.

I got a flat last week and the sidewall was damaged, making repair impossible. My tires could use replacing anyway, so I figured I'd just buy a new set after I get back from traveling for the holidays. In the mean time I've been driving on the (full size) spare.

Then today I get another flat on my way to work. Should I just use fix-a-flat on my problem tire and hope it can get me home? (about 15 miles, can avoid taking the freeway if I have to) I'm flying out tomorrow morning and really don't have time to deal with this.

Is there more risk in using sealants like fix a flat on low profile tires? Mine are 225/40/18's.

Hey hello how do they make car body parts like fenders, roof etc etc. I think they use a deep drawing (die presses against sheet lying on an elastic material) /sheet forming machine or press..? but I am not sure. Let me know if anybody has any details.

thx.

Both of the O2 sensors are fairly new. I've changed them in the past year. I reset the code after I changed them, and the code came back on.

I went and got a smog test today and my van failed because of the light being on. But, it passed the emissions test, and the mechanic said that if it was the catalytic converter, it wouldnt have passed the test. If it's not the O2 sensors, and it's not the catalytic converter, what else could it be?

I read online that I should check the voltage of the O2 sensors. How do I do that?

Help me out, please.
