about $300-$350 depending on the quality of brake shoes and drums that you want. If they want more then, I'd get another opinion......

It's different everywhere for different vehicles...to get a rough estimate, I have a 2000 Grand Prix, and I just bought new rear brakes, just the pads...and it was 35 dollars...hope this helps a little, I don't even know what drums are, lol....don't laugh.

Call around and you will get a wide range of answers. You should be able to get them done at a reputable shop for about $200 or less. Don't always go with the cheapest. You want a place that has a good reputation for quality work and that will stand behind their repairs with a good warranty.

I spent around $500.00 for work on all 4 brakes. Two of the wheels needed all components replaced. I have a 2000 Chevy Cavalier.
