I have a Volvo S80 2.9 SE Auto & do 40K miles a year nearly all on the motorway.

Why should I pay nearly twice the price for a W speed rating tyre against a V rating tyre - I never go over 100mph?
The load ratings are the same 97 & they seem to have the same rim protector & tread pattern as the Avon zz3 although I have only seen the Fullruns on a website on Ebay.
Are Fullrun HP199 tyres any good?
I live in nr Kettering (Northamptonshire) & work in Telford (Shropshire) UK so if anybody can recommend a good tyre dealer where I can get tyres and fitting I would appreciate it?
My tyre size is 215/55 x 16.
thanx

the motor is 3hp 850rpm 480volt 60hz tefc connected to a gearbox via belts the box has a 50:1 ratio and the belt drive is 50:1 as well, the gearbox is is directly connected to an auger that feeds wood chips into a 300 hp boiler, i need more fuel for my boiler so i need to increse the rpm without increasing the amperage the motor draws,as it is maxed out already, so therfore cannot change the ratios of pullys or gearbox, i have ran the moter at short periods of time at 120hz with no problems but want to know if this will damage my motor it never got hot or kicked out, by the way i am running a saftronics pc 10 inverter with a 3hp rating i really need to find the most cost efective fix for this.

It smells like burned oil. Also my gauge doesn't read that its overheating. How much are we looking at for a repair on this? Also found that when I turn the wheel all the way to the left a yellowish fuild leaks onto the engine. I think thats steering fluid. But Am more concerned about the white smoke and lots of it. Not burning fire type just allot of smoke when I park the car or in a stop.

I have a 1988 chevy S-10 pickup with a 2.8 v/6 that runs great.
I have changed the oil every 3000 miles. Can I start using Synthetic oil, and will it help ? It has 130,000 miles.

My car looks like it has dandruff. There is a crusty white film that is very flaky that you can scrape off with your nails or tool. The paint underneath this crusty layer is fine and looks good. It's just that they very top layer of my car is cracking away. It's most likely either oxidation or just that the protective coating they put on the car during the manufacturing process is now just dried up and flaking. Is there any kind of product that gets rid of that? Or any suggestions to remove it?

My hubby and friend are fixing up an old mustang. They wanted me to ask this...
If they ground down some surface rust and found that there was still some rust underneath that, if they bondo it up and then paint over it, would it last? I said no cuz they're just painting over bad metal but I figure I'd ask anyway.

I know some places sell distributors and offer a "Core" of $70 or something along that lines. Is there any place that will simply pay the CORE price if I were to sell them mine that doesn't work even if I didn't purchase at their store etc? Does anyone buy distributors that don't work? Thank you.

The blades came with a pathetic "illustration" to demonstrate how to install, and I've gotten as far as the proper positioning. Hoever, I can't seem to "lock" them into place. What gives?

The curve of the back window will, I'm sure, prove especially challenging. I really want to do this myself because $170-$200 is too much for what seems like such a straightforward job. I know I can do it, I just need to know what steps to follow.
