You need a "Zeus Book", my friend. The driller and tappers' bible! I work on ships and pretty much every one I've been on has had a copy and they come in handy remarkably often.

I've found a UK website that sells them, as that's where I am.
If you're in the US, just try doing a search for zeus book, or ask at a store that sells drills / taps etc.

Just type "tap drill sizes" in your search bar and several sites will come up with charts.

check the library, look for the machinests handbook. also check your local parts store. some sizes require letter and number drills in stead of fractional sizes
