I need to drain the fuel from the mh. I'm unable to siphon do to the twists and turns of the intake line. The fuel feed line is about 1/4 of the way above the bottom of the tank due to the generator shut off safety feature. Is there a safe way to remove the old fuel without the removal of the considerably large fuel tank from the vehicle?

I have an old 1992 Volvo 940 GLE that gets me to work in Germany. It is making a "whirring" noise. I can't describe it better than that. It is coming from just beneath the Parking Brake area (center console). It is NOT in tune with the ENGINE rpm, but does speed up and slow down with the speed of the CAR. I am thinking drive shaft bearings. Anyone have any experience with this?

My older car died (1997 --193K). My newer car has only 7K. Should I fix my older car's engine ($1500-$3000) so that I can have a second car to run around in ... or just drive the newer one, try to keep it up, and put money into it for upgrades, etc.

I would like to know from other users what was their most expensive car repair till date?? Please mention seperately if it was paid by insurance and not from your pocket. But I would be more intrested in knowing about those who paid from their own pocket.
Im just curious enough because my mechanic gave me a big estimate, so I want to make myself comfortable by figuring out that its just not me but many have gone through this.

By the way can you tell me how much it would be labour + parts if I need to replace a Master cylinder for my 1998 ford escort lx, 4dr, rear drums w/o abs.

find a pulley that works every one is about a half inch off I bought a aftermarket set of underdrive pulley's from march performance and still the same problem the water pump is a half inch off there was no long or short water pump right they are all the same lenght right??? The only difference I know of is that pre 1968 the pumps have a 8 bolt design and after they have a 11 bolt design is that right???

1994 Ford Explorer with 176,000 miles. Runs great except for a vapor lock when fuel is lower than 1/4 of a tank, and a tapping sound in the valve system when I drive uphill. I have recently had the oil and filter changed, had it lubed, and all checked out. I want to sell it but now after this has happened, I don't want to sell a lemon, but cannot afford an expensive valve job.

ive been having trouble with the spark plugs and\or coil. ive changed each spark plug which took me 8 hours for 8 plugs (could they make it any tighter) but still it seems that they are not firing fast enough to burn off the fuel. i think the plugs might have there threads stripped. is any one else having this type of trouble and if so how was it corrected
