Hi - I'm a single gal looking to find out what possibly could be wrong with my Aerostar. When I first start it up, it hesitates and stalls out and you can see the indicator on the battery jumping back and forth before it dies out. Today was the first day that it completely died at a stoplight. Being single and a woman, I don't want the garage to completely rip me off, so what does anyone think the problem could be? Thanks so much!

I have a 98 Honda Accord 4cyc 5 speed, when I am driving the engine will just shut down, have power ( radio), I can sometimes just downshift and it will just restart up and go , if I try to turn the key over while it is still moving but engine is off , the noise it makes sound like if the engine is running . ( like you forgot your car was on and you try to start it ) It does not do this in the morning when the Temp. is lower than 90 degree out side but in the afternoon when the temp is higher it does. I have the battery check and alternater and everything good with that. Took it to a shop and they replace the engine coil and spark plugs, had a complete tune up and new belts and water pump fix, but it still does it.

I have a 2000 Altima GXE and I have had it for a few years, but I haven't replaced much. I got it used with 70,000 and it now has 120,000. I have flushed some fluids but I am just not too sure of how often i have to keep up with maintenance.
I just wanna know how many miles or how much time to replace thing like....
-Shocks/ Struts
-Alignment/Balance
and whether or not you I have to flush/replace fluids like...
-Transmission
-Brake
-Power Steering
-Radiator Fluid
and if anyone can respond I would really appreciate it.

You remember Willie, our small town's only mechanic! Sure you do. He's the one who "fixes" cars and weeks later they shart cartwheeling down our street! OH!! And Willie solved the problem if his reassembling a Cadillac and a Honda Civic back into one car--a Hondallac or a Cadonda!! He just burned it for the insurance and paid off the two owners for their previous TWO cars.

But now, we have a new Willie-Problem. The local Guard unit's tank broke down and they asked Willie to come fix it. He did--it's running again. In circles on the armory parade ground. It won't stop.

And it's growling and firing its gun!

So far, we've lost the steeple off the Baptist Church, Widow Rackstraw's vegetable garden, a tour bus loaded with Russian tourists that was passing through--even though that accident may cause a nuclear reaction from Putin who is some kind of p!ssed, we hear--and a series of HUGE potholes in our street. (This is a really small town.)

The Guard guys can't get inside it!!

When i turn on my A.C. most of the time its start to blow cold. Then after a while it blows warm. The time varies from when it goes from cold to warm, If I stop and let it sit for 15-30 minutes it blows cold again. It was suggested there may be a temperature swith of some kind that may be defective.

My mechanic cannot get me in for two weeks. The squeak occurs when I turn the wheel or go over a bump. Is it dangerous to drive this way for 2 weeks?

I already installed new brake pads, control arm rubber bushings and upper ball joint. I think the rotors are fine because i can just apply the brakes and still spin the tire, and it feels normal.

Checked the oil, nothing was showing up on the dipstick and the way the dipstick is step up is that there is two marks, a red mark and a yellow mark 5inches up from that, so logically I figured the oil mark should be between there. I added oil until the residue showed my oil level a bit above the red mark. Then I drove my car around, and one block from my house, and the car dies. Turns out that theres a little notch below the red mark and it actually has some importance, thats were you gauge the oil! I over serviced my car with oil and at the least blew my catalytic converter, so I drained the oil and jump started it, nothing happened. Called my supervisor and he and another Sgt looked at my car. They jump started it again, got it running but there was a whole lot of of white smoke comming out the back. So I drove it around; the check engine light goes out and the car seems fine! Sad thing is Im a AGE mechanic for the USAF and I have to drive to NM from UT in 2 days, will my car be ok?

This has happned the past couple of days. After the truck sits for awhile and I try to start it, it will not start up completely, I have to try several times to get it to completely turn over. When it finally starts up the clock has been reset as well as my radio. I noticed that one time the door wasn't completely shut overnight and when I tried to start it the next morning is when the trouble began... anyone know whats up?

When I hook up a utility trailer to my truck(2002 F150- supercrew) the running lights on the trailer work, the signal lights work, but the brake light do not work on the trailer. I have checked the ground and reconnected it and wiring is standard 4-wire hookup. When I have the running lights on and apply the brakes, the running lights shut off. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

The right turn signal on my 2000 Daewoo Leganza works fine as long as I dont turn my lights or brights on, but once I do, both the front and back turn signals are on constantly, and only go off if I turn the lights off. They dont blink or anything, they just light up. What kind of problem is this? Are the bulbs about to go out or is it a fuse problem...?
Also, my front windsheild has a rater large crack in it, and I was wondering if anyone knew about ho much it would cost to get it replaced. And if the normal glass place could do it, or if Id have to take it somewhere special.
