I have a 00 dodge dakota, it seems that I feel every bump in the road now as opposed to when i first got it. Its naturally a bit stiffer since it is a 4wd but i dont remember it being this bumpy of a ride when i first got it...any ideas????

OK....i actually replaced my shocks yesterday but it still feels a bit stiff, ive only got 2 miles on the new shocks, and i used the monromatics instead of expensive ones as i plan to put new shocks on again within a year and lift the suspension.

if your truck has the heavy duty gas shocks o it you will feel all the bumps,,i own a repair shop, and i have seen as the gas shocks get a little wear on them they seem to get stiff,,and ride harder,,you would think that it would be the opposite,,but it isn't,,i have a set on my service truck,,and the longer there on there the stiffer they get,,and in the winter when they get cold,,its as if it done even have shocks,,also make sure your tires are not over inflated on it,,a few pounds can really make big difference in the ride of it,,i lowered my tire pressure down to 30 ,,and it helped mine a little,,i hope this help,s.

It's time to replace the shocks, maybe you've been putting a little more weight than it can take in a while, that's the problem.
