When I'm driving, the oil pressure goes back to normal. When I slow down and stop, it dips REALLY low. I can't seem to figure it out. Obviously I'm concerned about engine damage but don't have to dough to take it to a shop just yet.

I have a 2000 Oldmobile Alero and have had no problems with it in the past. Lately, the engine has been very loud when driving, kindof like a dull roar. When coasting or accelerating, it also gets loud. It sounds like its the engine, right under the hood. Any ideas to what the problem might be?

When diesel fuel goes bad what happens to it? I know water can be seperated easily and algae can grow in it, can algae be pre-filtered out then what is the fuel ok then? References would be nice not just opinion if possible.

I have a 66 LeMans conv and I want to build it for perfomace. Yes there are stronger Pontiac engines, but it came stock with the 326 and I thought it would be different to have a built original block. But no one ever builds a 326 and I have never heard of one being done. Is there some problem with building one? I can go with others if necessary.

Whenever I go over speed bumps my car makes this obnoxious sqeaking noise, then when I turn my steering wheel it squeaks also, I have a 99 ford explorer, I was told it might be my ball joints or shocks.....I have to go on a 800 mile trip and don't have time to fix it until I come back in 2 weeks, what do you think is wrong, and what might happen if I wait until I get back to fix it? Or should I get it fixed now before I leave?

After having the battery, alternator, and computer changed in June due to a charging problem, my car died again yesterday. At first it started running after it was jumped by a tow truck, but that only lasted an hour. The lights dont even come on. It is definitely something causing this, but no one can figure out what it is. Any ideas?

I have a 2002 Saturn SL. Recently, I took it to the dealer for a 30,000-mile service. Dealer decommended that the coolant be flushed and filled along with Fuel System Cleaning.

Now my car has the new Red/Orange-Color Coolant -- from the factory.

According to the Saturn Website - and maintenance schedule, the coolant is good for 100,000 miles. Is that true? Or do I follow the dealer's recommendation?

How about the Fuel System cleaning? Again, the manual makes no mention of that... and the fuel filter is to be replaced at 100K miles.

My geographic area is in NY/NJ with mixed driving: highway and local.

Before my car would over heat....since having that problem fixed, it seems as if it affected or caused me to have another problem....It seems as if my car is not running off all of the cylinders, and seems as if may be starving for fuel...could the person who did the repair work on my radiator forgot to re connect something, knocked something loose, or even worse, damaged something in my car?\

I have a metallic silver 2003 Toyota Matrix hatchback. I have a dime sized blop of sticky goo on the hood of my car. I live in east Texas and it is reaaaaaally hot and humid these days so very often times, the goo is pretty soft. It feels glue-y to the touch when it is warmed by the sun. I don't think it is bug parts, and I don't know if it is sap, because sometimes I park under trees but not usually. How to remove it safely?

Another question, brief: it has only happened once for about 5 miles of travel (trip to the corner gas station) but it perplexed me. My dome light inside flickered off and on the whole trip, 3 or 4 seconds on, faded off, back on in about 10 seconds. My doors were all firmly shut. No significant bumping around to indicate a short. No problems with the battery, it is in good condtion.

Last question: how to get my car up off the ground a bit. I scrape on a very steep driveway, and lots of other shallower inclines. Costs? Appearance and resale concerns?
