The groan only occurs when I make a complete stop...during normal driving and breaking there is no groan. any Ideas.

Probably still the brakes...let the mechanic have a look.

Sometimes, when your brakes are applied, but the car moves slightly, the noise that comes from the brakes slipping along the rotor make a groaning type noise. Sounds like this could be what your describing. This is normal and can't be prevented.

did you check your transmission? make sure all the fluids are at a good level.. now that ford is responsible for jaguar i would check into that.. especially the trannie... once ford gets a hold of a product it's always the transmission.

if it's not... make sure all your vacuum hoses are tight and there are no cracks, leaks and make sure nothing is spewing from any pressure lines for the hydralics.

if all looks good... i say take it to a ford dealership or where you got it and say hey! listen to this...

oh, spark plugs too, make sure all things are in check before you have to deal with guys who already don't want to spend time looking at their own product.
