After having the battery, alternator, and computer changed in June due to a charging problem, my car died again yesterday. At first it started running after it was jumped by a tow truck, but that only lasted an hour. The lights dont even come on. It is definitely something causing this, but no one can figure out what it is. Any ideas?

My GF's SUV had the very same problem. It failed to start, then some guy offered to jump start it, and she got home safely, but guess what... the car wouldn't start the next day and after we got it towed to service, man it was a complete electrical malfunction, burnt fuses everywhere. Good thing that car is still under warranty. So jump starting... i don't think it's a good idea..

Did you put in a new battery after you changed the alternator?
You could have damaged the original battery.

Take it back to the shop that changed everything and have them check the alternator and regulator again. It sounds like one of those two things isn't working properly.

Sounds like the alternator. Make sure it is securely connected electrically.
