I'm 16 years of age and I'm looking to do my first major Hot (Rat) Rod and I have a '66 Bug that I saved from 12 years of field sitting with a trailer and $200 bucks. The dude I bought it from said with some oil fresh gas and a battery that it would start right up. WHAT A LOAD OF BULL SH** So I stumbled upon a Chevy small block in working order and I want to mold them together to make a rat rod type...I've seen this done alot and I was wondering how I do this myself. I heard of people taking domestic frames and just topping it off with the VW and many other ways I was hoping you guys could tell me the easiest and cheapest way to do this I'm 16 so life is kinda short in the financial area. Help me out

When I turn off the engine, I can hear a gurgling sound. It never overheats. They do have to add coolant at every oil change--every 3000 miles. It has about 65,000 miles on it & a 5 speed manual transmission.

Need to replace my Commodore with another family car that is cheap to run and does good mileage per liter of fuel. I am currently looking at Passat and tossing between Diesel and Petrol and not sure if it cjeap to maintain or not. My previous Alfa Romeo was expensive.

I have a 2001 VW Beetle Turbo and I have a problem. Whenever my engine is cold (and often when it is warm as well) my check engine light begins to flash and my car loses power and feels like it is going to stall (though it never has). The dealership looked at it and charged me money for things they said would fix it, but nothing they did ever fixed it. I then took it to a AAA approved mechanic. They gave me a new battery, new timing belt, new spark plugs, and new engine coils, but my car's still not fixed. They checked my catalytic converter, fuel injection, and various other parts, but everything appears to be fine. No codes are showing up on the diagnostic tests, and they basically gave up on my car. So does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be? Could it be the power supply relay switch? The oxygen sensor? Posessed by the devil? Somebody please help me!

Thanks.
