why does my car shut off when i turn on the lights?

while drivin down the hwy my lights will dim and my gauges will go crzy on me, like 55mph to 110 mph takes about a second the way it jumps around, and when i park the car turn my lights off and then back on my car stalls out???...can this be a bad battery, alternator, or a bad fuse? its a 94 grand prix se and its all i've got

how good of a car is the pontiac grand prix gt? how long will it last if it had 62,000 miles on it?

the car is a 1999,v6,ac,cd,fully loaded 4dr,3800 engine, runs/drives like new 62,000 miles warr. avialible and the price is $4595

Haynes repair manual says that crankshaft sensor is toward firewall on 1986 2.8L Pontiac but can not find any?

There is a bolt head in the supposed spot on the block where book said sensor would be but no wires or plug on bolt head. in line wire plug was on wrong side from where book said. This is new motor to me so have no idea where to look and or to pick and choose from other plugs and sensors.

do i have a short in my ignition??

i have a 99 pontiac grand am that wont start. when i turn the key to acc everything is working(lights, radio, etc) but when i turn it to the start position, everything goes dead. if i open the door and slam it shut everything comes back on but the car wont start. what is wrong with my car?
