My car is a 2006 G6 with 7000 miles on it. They have made repair attempts 5 times since March. It can't be repaired. I'll update this question with my results, should be within 40 days.

I had a wonderful 1999 Ford Windstar it had 25000 miles on it and I had it in for a serious oil leak. they pulled the engine 4 times to resolve it, on the 5th they put in a new engine, OK then the tranny started it's issues so I pulled the plug and made a huge stink first at the dealer then at the regional level. the regional service manager investigated and found that the transmission shaft was of the wrong part for the application and was causing the leak. the new engine sent it over the top and blew the tranny seals.......I got an '02 Explorer loaded in the trade with 0 miles and full warranty. the money I had paid on the loan was transferred and Ford picked up the tab. You must keep your ducks in a row and you will perservere. The lemon law applies if your vehicle has been in the sop 3-5 times (depending on state) and the dealer is out of options or you feel he is not doing the work right. Oh ya I just bought a Pontiac....

NO. I do however know someone who had a lemon-loser Audi that was not repairable and was replaced for free after a year. So the idea works, just not with GM.

I think GM really doesn't care unless the car is suffering from some tragedy-causing defect that is on the front pages of all the papers. Even then you won't get it bought back, just a small credit to use on a GM replacement.

It has to fall under the Lemon Law for that to happen. That's generally when the same problem happens 3 times within the first few thousand miles or like the first year.

confident i might without hesitation. i've got self belief that countless the unfairness against GM is from evaluations that have been shaped some years in the past and the continual photograph of a company that could no longer construct a good motor vehicle. look on the Corvette, Cadillac CTS, Buick Lucerne, Saturn Sky, Chevrolet Malibu and the Pontiac G8 and tell me those are not advantageous automobiles. constructive they have made some crap in the previous. So has Toyota. however the previous is previous information. look at GM with sparkling eyes and that i think of you will see they needless to say have a good product. Their concern isn't on the sales floor or in the factories, this is of their company headquarters

What you could expect is a big hearty laugh...You signed an agreement, and the big boys won't take it back, defect or no defect...
But good luck in asking...You only have them three business days, and that's it...
