The fan runs when the car is turned off until it runs the battery down. Until we get it in for repair we thought this would allow it to be driven.

find cooling fan relay in underhood elec center ,remove it.

while the car is off and it's had a chance to coll down you might consider unplugging the power to it. There should be a plug near the fan itself that you can pull apart. But you need to get it in and checked out soon after killing the fan so you don't damage the engine by running it too hot.

If it's the HVAC fan...

20A HVAC Blower fuse in the fuse block on the right side of dash.
