I took my car down to Auto Zone and they put a code reader on my car and it said "Vapor leak" The guy said my gas cap wasn't installed properly. Well, I checked it and it was secured. I turned the cap 2 times around. and that light will NOT go out. I've driven close to 70 miles since.

I have a grand prix and I had to replace the alternator on it yet now I can't get the belt back on.. I'm used to carberator engines were the altornator slids up and down but this one welll is not a carborator. If any one knows please help.

This is exacty what will happen, I will go to start my car and the engine will turn over but not start, this happens randomly (usually about every three weeks) Scine this happens randomly I could be at a gas station or on my way to work in the morning, the car won't start. The first time this happened I freaked out but learned soon it was my security system. From reading the manual, I learned in order to fix the problem of my car not starting, I need to place my key in the "start" position and leave it there for about 10 min or until the security icon stops flashing, then turn the key off then turn the key on. I have taken the car to several shops and dealership to fix the problem, they hook it up to some machine and run a test to fix the computer but the problem returns several weeks letter. I feel like taking it to the garage and paying it is a waste. Can anyone please let me know what causes this and how to stop/prevent it?? Is it common?? If so what did/do you do? Can I turn off my security system or am I just stuck with this???? Thanks so much!!

I need to know if there is an easy way to change the spark plugs on the passenger side of the car. the a/c unit and lines smack in the way also the spark plug wires have metal jackets hard to get hold of I have tried every tool and idea I can think of.

My uncle gave us a car dictionary as a gift when I was like 5 years old. I used to look at the pictures of American cars, especially the Pontiac caught my attention. I asked my mom about it & she said that Pontiac was the most modern-looking and best performing car in the world. That was in the mid 80s when i was living in India.

Just a couple of years back, I moved to the US & to my surprise what I see today - nobody drives Pontiac, everyone is obsessed with the Japanese makes & they all say Pontiac is crap these days and they all discourage me from buying one & ask me to go for a top-class German or a Japanese car.

What happened to Pontiac? Best car in the world in the 70s and 80s to one of the worst in this decade?

i have a 95 bonneville i also have a bonneville ssei parts car can i take the super charger off the ssei and put it on mine whould i have to change the computer or any wires can some 1 help me the 95 looks nice but i like the ssei i wanna change all the in side and pretty much make a bootleg bonneville ssei. is it alot of work to put the supercharger on

i have a 1995 bonneville it has the factory tires size 16" but i got some really good tires that are 15" i know oldsmobile the honey comb factory 15"i know its the same bolt pattern
will the oldsmobile 15" fir my car 16" or will my breaks hite the inside of the rim?

The car has gas, oil, transmission fluid, and all other fluids. But suddenly the car just wouldn't start. I'm hoping that it's not the head because of the cost. If the anti-freeze/water isn't getting to the motor could that cause it. I don't really know anything about cars, so I hope someone out there can help me.

I had a brand new alterntor and battery put in 3weeks ago yet the alternator seems to keep drainin the power out of the battery and this is the third new alternator Ive purchased and had put in, in the last 3 months ive taken it to two different mechanics and both mentioned it may have an electrical shortage and definatly need ANOTHER new alternator ($$$$$) as to why it keeps shutting down on me, but i'm of weary of taking it to another shop or the dealership to be fixed, i ALLWAYS GET RIPPED OFF and ALLWAYS pay too much for car parts and work that dont fix my car, any recomendations, suggestions, advice would help tremendously. I dont have very much money to work with and i really, really, really need my car. Coincidentilly everything is "electronicly powered" I couldnt even roll the windows up or take the key out of the ignition without needing a jump, i'm so frustrated and ignorant about what is wrong and what to do about it help !!!!!!please!!!

I've had a question regarding the performances of my two cars (99' grand am se (V6) and 99' grand am GT). For some reason, my GT won't accelerate as fast as my SE. (I've tested both on race track one day). What could be the problem since both of them recently went through maintenance..
