Why oh why oh why do you put a bowtie on a Poncho? It's your car, but run the Pontiac block!

The 950 carb is a little big. It may kill your low end a little bit. You shouldn't need anything larger than a 750 with that setup on a 350. If your going to replace the crank, why not go ahead and go 383? it would be easy and not cost much more at all. Also you have your valve sizes mixed up. Do you mean 1.60 intake and 2.02 exhaust? You didn't give any cam specs either. Dont forget a good higher stall converter. And the powerglide is a good choice. It's a bulletproof trans when it's built right.

Hello Layne,How ya doin?Anything that works for a Camaro will work for a Firebird as both were built with the same style rear end ,the same roof and a slightly different sub frame . Both weighed about the same. The most perfect set-up came from the Factory They only built 500 of them for racing purposes. They had a 455 high per motor sway bars as thick as baseball bats and a 4 spd tranny. Rearends were optional depending what your reqiurements were
