Put the belt on all the pulleys except the tensioner. Then use a 1/2" ratchet or breaker bar, insert it into the square hole on the tensioner arm, pry it out of the way (it should move pretty easily), slip the belt over the idler pulley, and release the ratchet / breaker.

If you're not sure of the belt routing, there should be a sticker on the radiator support somewhere showing you how things go.

Good luck!

You have a serpentine belt correct? That means you will have an automatic belt tensioner pulley. Find that pulley and put a crecent wrench on it to pull it out of the way to put the belt on, and then simply release it and your belt is on and at the correct tension. Check out the little belt diagram under the hood showing how they go on.

Just slide the belt through the loops of your pants just like any other belt. Also, make sure the "pontiac" which is burned into the belt is right in the center of your back.

I assume you're talking about a belt that holds up your pants. Because people that drive pontiacs are white trash and they also wear belts with their names in them. So you'll be taking it a notch higher by actually getting Pontiac burned into your belt.

Also, you may have to get your mullet shortened, as it may hide that sweet belt you just put on. *If your mullet is permed, you should be fine*
