Ford

My Taurus would not start. There was power on all the time but engine starter would not engage. I replaced the ignition lock/tumbler. (Where the key fits) it now starts but will not shut off. Power is still on all the time no matter what position the key is in. I think there must be a ground gone. Anyone know where to look?

I have an old mustang it´s a 68 one. And people always ask me if It´s for sale ( not for sale by the way). Not only Americans but hispanics, afros ,etc.
I´m really concerned about it, I Know that mustangs cars are valuables cars today, but, why ?.

ok i wrote the same questiion yesterday but i have more details. i changed out the alternator, and a brand new batterie, i checked all the fuses. the thing is that it has an alarm and i cant turn it off, i turned it off by taking off the fuse. also in the dash the little low battery light remains on even if you have it charging with another car. What the Hell!!! Please help, im about to set the car on fire.

i have a 2001 Ford Ranger Edge, when i drive for long periods and stop like at a gas station or something, when i get back in and take off its like my brakes are locked or something. for the first few mins. of driving my back tires will squeal and it feels like the back axel is warped then it seems to finally break loose and is fine. is this a brake problem? or something else?

having electrical problems with the stang, i already changed out the alternator and brand new die hard batterie, but still it wont hold a charge, the little light for the battery goes stays on and after time it slowly dies out,like in 20 minutes or so. please help thanx

Ok its not the fuel pump or the filter. the engine turns over but will not crank. Fuel is in the fuel rail. I just can't figure it out, is my injectors? How can I tell.

well, when i start my car you can smell gas ,and when it is just at an idle it shakes, then when im driving it it acts like it isnt getting any gas and when you push on the gas pedal it makes like a loud clicking noise..we changed the spark plugs,that didnt help..what else could it be? someone said something like a lifter arm? please help....

I want to put performance parts in the v-6 that i have because i dont want a v-8 but i dont want a 4 banger either. I want performance parts like roller rockers, performance cam, push rods, bearings, headers, exhaust. fuel system, brakes, pistons, heads, etc. I know they exist b ut I dont know where to find them at so no telling me put a v-8 in it. i enjoy the v-6 thats in it.

1991 ford explorer 91k miles, auto, new alternator...
car starts and idles very good but when put into gear engine dies .. someone told be its torque converter and someone else told me its a switch on the side of your transmition ... any idea please help ... thanks everyone

An old family friend asked me to build/rebuild the 289 v8 in his '66 mustang he wants as much power as $3000 to $4000 will bring, I'm mostly looking for ideas and possibly a place to purchase a street legal dual quad intake manifold for it. I have a 2002 Ford Super duty with 26,000 miles on it and it will use well over a quart of oil in 1000 miles. It doesn't leak and occasionaly on cold starts it blows a large amount of smoke out the tail pipe. I have had it to two different Ford dealers and they tell me it is normal. I have had other dealers tell me they won't work on it because I didn't buy it from them. It has done this since I bought it with 8000 miles on it.

The left turn singal wont blink i chked the light bilbs there good i also cheked if the was current going thru but there is none then i taught it might be the fuse or relay or but i can hear the clicking sound also the little green light that suppose to turn on in the odometer dosent turn on .
