I think Toby Keith is an excellent spokesman for Ford! Ford is built Ford tough and Toby Keith knows what it's like to work tough probably something you don't know anything about. They just didn't pay him to say those things, he actually really is a Ford man and nobody could advertise Ford better than him..........Well, except me of course.

no, i think celebrity spokespeople will just as easily turn "off" a segment of the audience as they will attract others.
Before Toby Keith, the poster child at ford was Taylor Hicks...therefore alienating everyone who finds American Idol a stupid show.
Now, Toby Keith will alienate people who find country music simplistic and rural.
Next lets have a Rosie O'donnell so we can alienate the homophobes..
Then Pat Robertson....

I don't really care to see his face and I agree, he can be somewhat annoying. Considering Ford's recent agenda, though, he doesn't quite seem to fit . . . or maybe he does- one can never tell.
To be honest though, as much as I dislike seeing Toby Kieth, I would much rather see him advertising for Ford than some of their 'closet' ads.

Only for the country music loving folks who want full-size trucks.
And even then....
I don't "do" the whole celebrity endorsements. I buy it more if I personally like it or if I know someone personally who enjoyed the product. I side with you and completely agree.

If I owned a FORD Dealership, then I would endorse them! But then I do anyway and I don't own a dealership! HA! Although I do LOVE my Lincolns even more.

i'll admit, the commercial is becoming rather tiresome but i did watch a true life story on keith before he became famous and he worked his tail off. so maybe he's reflecting on past experience.

I tend to agree with you. A little over the top, don't you think? Come on, it's like watching professional wrestling.
