I bought a new car and i took the custom stereo out of my old car and want to connect it to my new car and I was wondering if theres any easy way to connect all the colored wires without buying a manual or taking it to a stereo shop. The new car has a custom stereo in it already but no face so i want to switch them out, plus the one I already have is mine. Anyways its a big mess and I need a way or somehow to connect the wires like if theres a color code or a sequence i have to go through, Thank You

stations that I am listening to get scratchy, and don't sound as good as my other cars. and the deck has a digital tuner too... is there a free, or cheep fix for this? all the cables are ok, i have checked them

I have a 98 Dodge Stratus and a 99 Ford Escort ZX2. I've taken the stereo out of the Stratus, and would like to put it in the Escort. I've not savvy to the lingo but I'll do my best to explain the problem.

There is a set of wires plugged into the back of the stereo that separate into 2 sets of wires. The plugs on the 2 sets of wires do not fit into the plugs in the Escort. Here are my questions:

1.) Is there an adapter that will connect the 2 sets of (Dodge compatible) plugs into the 2 sets of plugs in the Escort, do I need a different plug that goes into the back of the stereo that has Ford plugs, or do I need to splice into the wires and put on the Ford plugs?

2.) Where can I buy the required parts, and about how much are they? Links to exactly what I need would be appreciated.

3.) What do I do if I cannot find a place to attach the ground? The Stratus has a screw just for it, but I couldn't find one on the Escort.

BTW, the stereo is a Sony CDX-L250

i just installed two 5 x 7's in my Probe GT but i just replaced the stock speakers and didnt run the wires. i took a guess and they both work but i didnt know if i did it wrong and if i did it the other whether it would sound better? i dont feel like tearing my whole car apart for speakers.

...I mainly use my automobile's ('99 Toyota Camry) cassette deck for the cassette adapter that came with my XM radio kit. When I insert the cassette adapter, it keeps ejecting. The deck will go into play mode for a second, then go into reverse play mode for a second, then eject the cassette. This happens with regular cassettes as well. I've tried other cassette adapters, and the same thing happens. Any ideas as to what might be causing the problem, and how it can be fixed?

I need to connect a wire to my Sony stereo's wiring harness. The wire that i need to run comes out of the head unit, connects with the other wires to the stock wiring harness, but doesn't continue out of the other side of the connector. I thought this would be the best way to connect the wire. But how do I get it to stay put in the connector? Looks like it needs a little tiny female end, but I don't have one that small.....

My radio in my Neon only plays for about 5 seconds before it cuts off. I can change channels but there is NO volume. My battery went down and we jumped the car and the radio worked for about 5 days and then died again. HELP!

3 yrs. ago, we went on vacation to galveston tx.. and the radio stopped workin'! it will not work on the fm stations, and the am stations barely come in. the clock still works though. we've checked the fuses etc. nothin' found.
the car is a '98 chevy cavelier/4 door.
any ideas what to do or what may have caused it?
this car has been a true blessin'. and we will not be gettin' rid of it anytime soon.

i have 2 sony 12" subs and a 1200w amp. its wired right - i know all about the ohms and stuff. but lately like whenever i turn the car on or hook up my ipod, the subs hit out of nowhere. i unplugged my ipod and they hit like twice. it does this whenever i turn the car off too. whats this all about?

Green/purple stripe
Black
Black/red stripe

(empty)

These are the wires I need help with. Speaker connection wires are OK.

I have a 2003 BMW 325i with 2 12" Alpine Type R SWR-1242D subwoofers and a Kenwood KAC-7203 1000 watt 2 channel amp & factory head unit and the bass is ok but I heard that doing a "Blowout" will definately increase the bass. Can anyone explain what that process entails and how it works? Thanks

I've got a 99 Dodge Stratus, and the back speakers won't work. To check if the problem is in the speakers (they are both wired on the left channel for some strange reason, so it could be a break in the wire along the way). Anyways, I was going to put the wires from one of the front speakers onto the outputs for the rear speakers, but I can't get the wires out of the harness. How do I get them out?

i was jsut wandering if i can take the rca cable cut one end off and wire it to the speaker wire and plug it into the amp and wonder if it would still work, if so do i hook up the negative with the positive on one side of the rca cable
