I agree to buy a car from this guy. He is still on the payment on this car. In other words, the title is in his bank name. What are the steps I have to do? I am in Texas. I am not sure what to start, title or registration? Please advise.

So I'm getting ready to sell my car, but I'm really not sure of it's value. I know I can look up the kelly blue book value, but I'm really more interested on what the general public think it is worth, because there are factors to take into consideration (what's been done, what needs to be done, ect). Here is the description.

1985 Mercedes 190 E, 3.5
87K miles
Leather interior, decent shape
Decent paint, minor issues (scratches, warping..the car is older than I am!)
Sun roof
New tires
Original floor mats
Runs well, has been kept up on

All in all, the car is in good condition, just has minor flaws because of it's age. What do you think? And no I am not trying to cop a free ad here :)

I'm trying to decide what car I should buy. I'm looking up different ones online and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed! I want to make an informed purchase and ensure I don't get ripped off, but I don't feel like the research I've done has helped at all. What's a good way to approach this.

I don't need help with financing or anything else, I'm just trying to decide which car to buy. Thanks!!

My wife cosigned on a truck for her friend and now that we are moving, she is not comfortable with leaving her friend the truck. basically she doesnt trust him to make the payments even though he has not missed one yet. what courses of action can she take to get the truck back or get her name off the loan short of a long legal affair.

I graduated in May and have just landed my first job, paying $45k. I have very minimal monthly bills (about $300). The car I'm driving now doesn't have any major problems but it's got 170,000 miles on it and is old, so I'd like to get a new, more reliable one for work. In my situation, would it be smarter for me to consider leasing or buying? I'd like to get a hybrid. Thanks for any advice!

I thought i found a good car, with a good deal; when i checked online,

Carfax shows 3 history reports, but auto check shows 7.
Why? Which one is more reliable?

I am thinking of buying my very first car. I am thinking of either Honda Civic or Honda Fit? What do you think? I am open up to other suggestions (but please give a valid reason why).

I wanted a car that wont give me problems and is a good car for a very first buy. This will be the car i will be driving for more than 5 years.

So, what do you think? I'm test driving them on Tuesday. I just need to know what you have heard abut the civic or the fit.

My car has a 10 year warranty with the dealer on power train.
Does this warranty stay with the car even when I sell it?
Can I advertise to the buyer that it still has 10 years dealer warranty left?

I need a car that is going to get me from point A to point B. I don't want to spend more than $500 on because I am putting myself through college and can't really afford much more than that. It doesn't have to be pretty, but drivable. I have tried newspapers, online auto sites, ebay, and even car auctions. I don't know where else to look. I hear about people finding cars like this all the time - I just don't know where. Please HELP!

Okays, I am going to buy a new car, and I was just wondering if it was good to purchase the rust proof spray package. This package is where they spray the outside and bottom of your car to protect it from rusting. I live in Minnesota, so is this really worth purchasing for 700 dollars?

I guess my real question is, does it really work?

I'm almost 18 now. I currently drive a 1995 audi a6 with an auto tranny. Although an incredibly well appointed car with great reliability, the car is fairly slow( 0-60 in about 10.5). i've been making some money and have about 12k (assuming i sold my own car for 6k). i'm looking for something sporty yet still refined. the 95 S6 is too rare i can't find any local listings. I would like to hear your suggestions on what other car you would buy

I had a car that I had not used in months. I never drove it out of town or anything. But, it was not for sale. There was nothing wrong with it as far as I knew, it ran perfectly fine when I had it. The woman had even rode in it before. Anyway, she had a van that she had to junk cause it was having problems, so she begged me to sell the car to her. I eventually said I would since she was in need and it is my best friend's mom. I wanted $500 for it, and she got here, brought someone to look it over, he looked it over, they test drove it, and took it home. Well now, 3 days later she said that things are going wrong and she wants her money back. She had me write out a receipt that said I sold it to her for $50 cash and she had me put that on the title too. I told her that the receipt said as-is, so I am not giving the money back. Now she says shes gonna call a lawyer on me.
