I thought i found a good car, with a good deal; when i checked online,

Carfax shows 3 history reports, but auto check shows 7.
Why? Which one is more reliable?

Depending on which vehicle you are looking at, I would do a pre buyers check at a local dealer (Price anywhere from 40-90 dollars) which tells you whether you are making a good purchase. Carfax is good when it comes to accidents etc, but your local dealer will do tests to make sure your vehicle is good to go for purchase.

I am employed at a New car Dealer.
I have used both Carfax & Autocheck
I have found errors with both but this is a rarity.

I actually prefer Autocheck because the report is easier to read, (better layout) & provides a little more information than Carfax.
Autocheck is a little cheaper, so I find it has more value for the money.

Autocheck is better and they report more, remember that carfax got sued and autocheck has never been accused of any wrong doing.
