I have a 1990 chevy camaro, I have already put a new engine in it (350), so it has less then 5k miles, but it has 150k original miles. Every now and then the transmission will slip a little bit but not bad, It needs some routien brake maintenance, a U-Joint, and could definately use a paint job, stereo, speakers, and a sub! I would absolutely love this car if had all of these things fixed. I'm only 17 so it would be forever before I had the money to fix all of it. I need a reliable car to get me to and from work and school everyday. So should I sell my camaro for like 3k, and get a honda civic or toyota camry for what ever i can sell my car for? Because if I buy another car it's probly gonna have at least a 100k miles on it.

I have a black Sebring Chrysler JXI convertible(they only made so many of these). its a 96 model and has 140,000 miles on it. Its a beautiful car!! It is in the shop now and has just had work done on it to make it newer..never been badly wrecked..just bumper stuff but that has been fixed and it drives like a charm..my dad is a car dealer and I'm a major truck person and I want to sell my car to get a truck. be honest..how much do you think I could sell my car for?..I would really like to sell it for 5000..do you think its worth that much or more?be honest! thank you and I will add pics as well!

I'm 15, and I'm saving up for my first car. I don't know anything about cars other than driving. This is what I want in my car:

good mpg
leg room
at least 4 seats (5 would be best)

What kind of car would you recommend $3000 and under? And do you know where I can buy it in 5 months?

I'm trying to get my hands on a nissan 35oz between the years 03 - 05. The price would be about $17000 or 25000. Now I've heard that you have to put a downn payment of $3000. But a sales guy said to me yesterday that you can still buy the car with out putting a down payment. Now can i really do that and just pay about $300 a month or is this not possible?

I am very undereducated when it comes to the car and mileage thing. . what is mileage? And I heard when a car has a certain amount of miles on it you have to get it checked or something, and when it comes to buying cars, what do you look for, low miles or high miles?

accident was other parties fault her insurance triple a repaired my car but i think they should have totaled my toyota instead of fixing. The other car involved was a ford explorer who backed into me in a parking lot and smashed my right front and side bumper.

I am a first time seller, but I don't want to be scammed by doing this via email. Should I have him come look at the car first and then give him the VIN? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

My sister is tempted to take advantage of the one car dealer's (local Chevrolet dealer) current promotion which states according to the commercial:

"Do you have five years on the job?"

"Do you make $300/week?"

"Do you have $199 down?"

"The you are approved regardless of your credit history!"

This just sounds too good to be true for me. I personally have never financed a car...I have always saved up and paid cash. What can I tell her to be on the lookout for if she goes to this dealership to take advantage of this offer?

i am about to buy this car a 95 acura integra rs model the interior is great it runs good and seems to good to be good, the only problem i have is the millage they posted that the car had 73k miles on it but when i ran it on carfax, it says it has 163k on it, i don't know if i want to buy it anymore. i know after 100k there is alot of things that need to be replaced and cars tend to break down around this period. should i walk away or say i want it for a lower price. also i know this type of car are good in the long run and they are reliable they want 4000 for it.
thanks for any info

The dealer is offering me 23,000 out the door which includes taxes, titles and fees. I'm really not too crazy about the Hyundai, but if the offer is right i'll get it. My credit is great, so I have options.

The MSRP for the car is 23,895 including a 2,500 rebate they have going on now. So asking for the car at 22000 isn't so much of a stretch I think. Should I settle for the 23,000 or play hard ball?

Does anybody know how much one would weigh or a website that can find it out?

I saw an ad for one for sale. He's asking $1,800. I think that might be a little high for the condition of the vehicle, although he said he has replaced some things on it, and it's very reliable. But he says he's driven it coast to coast, so I'm guessing it has a lot of miles, and it does have some rust. I can't find a quote on kelly blue book, because they years don't go back that far.
Is this a reasonable price? I really would like the vehicle. I'm VERY into the "hippie mobiles"..and this one even has tie dyed curtains!!

I would like to know how the process of buying from an auction works; do you have to be a car dealer to participate in an auction? how can you be sure the car is mechanically sound? How can you determine what a good price to pay for the car is?

The truck has new york plate and the guy says it's his daughter's. What do I need to ask for? The asking price is 15-20% lower than blue book and he says title is clear. Sounds a little too good to be true. The guy will call me back with the vin # today. Besides running the vin # what else can I do to ensure I am not buying something not legal or what ever. I live in maryland so I guess I need to get a state inspection after I buy it?
