Would it cost me a lot more money to trade my '07 Accord for an '07 Altima, '08 Altima or '08 Accord?

Please advise.

if you bought your vehicle in 07 new then you would definitely loose money on the transaction. buying a new vehicle looses 25% of its value as soon as you drive it off the lot. if you really want to buy a new vehicle, my suggestion would be to look up the value at kellybluebook.com and sell it privately. you will get more money for it then trading it into a dealership for another car.

If you're in a position financially to drop a minimum of $5.000 in depreciation on your 07 Accord toward an 08 model you can do what ever you want.
The very first year's depreciation is always the worst. If there's something that does not satisfy you concerning your car and you don't want to live with it any longer it's a done deal.
Personally I plan and order a car so each small item suits me perfectly. I prefer to pinch (narrow) regular service intervals and run the wheels off it till she dies. Here in NY road crews dump salt on the highways in the winter. The bodies of cars here take a terrible beating after 10 yrs. of use.

Good luck what ever your decision may be!

PS. I'd think carefully about a major change concerning your choice of cars. Any Toyota model depreciates substantially less than the brands and models you have listed.

The minute you buy a new car and drive it off the lot it becomes a used car and you lose a lot in depreciation. It generally takes 2 to 3 years to reach the break even point, but if you want to trade for an 08 the dealer will love to take your money.
