Buying & Selling - January 2007

I am interested in knowing what I will need to pay over and above the sales price of a private party used car. I was surprised when someone told me I would need to pay sales tax in addition to other fees. The car I'm interested in cost around $10,000. I couldn't find much info on the DMV site.

It is lovely hood in good condition, no leaks at all, mot till nov tax till may. hood good condition. few car park dings and a small scratch to the bottom of the back bumber (I might get this sorted) Electric arriel not working - I have a new one but not fitted it. Its silver. 1.6 16v 92300 beautiful topless miles!!!
Wanted ideas on how much its worth - I love this car so priceless to me but realistic as now have baby and all the associated rubbish you have to carry around need something bigger!!

The car is a Jaguar late model financed thru the Jag dealer and the owner had passsed away. The car was repo'd and sold at auction for 1/2 of value. Jaguar is su-ing the estate. The reopguy refused to sign the release which the Jag people had agreed to as condition of pickup

I am thinking of getting a Chevrolet Equinox, either an 06 or 07, either way, no miles on them. My question is for anyone who may know the average amount that a dealer buys this vehicle for? my plan is to take out a loan for $11,000 on this new car, I work at a clothing store, but just started I don't even have any money can I get a loan without money in my pocket right off, but by february I will have $900 on me, does it cost to get a loan? I take care of my father and I have no way of getting him to appointments. We live off $650.00 a month, therefor we cant afford a car. I would work to buy one myself but cant leave him alone. Does anyone know of anyone that might have a good car to give or sell really cheap.
