Every month they send me the buy out amount, if I were to sell it can I do it before my lease is up? Will the buyer just have to pay the buy out amount, or finish the lease?

I recently purchased a car and was dissatisfied with it so I returned it. Because the car was used and had just been traded in, I didn't take the car home on the day I signed the contract for financing nor did I leave my downpayment until I returned 2 days later to pick up the car.

Upon getting the car home, I noticed that the passenger's side windows didn't work, though they had when I originally saw the car. The dealer removed the window tinting that was on the car so it could pass inspection. In doing so, the windows didn't work. The car also had other mechanical issues.

Because of this, I didn't feel comfortable keeping the ca or exchanging it since the dealer knew of the issues like the windows. When I returned the car they refused to return the downpayment stating that I had signed a contract, though I had only had the car for 2 days and signed the contract 2 days prior to taking the car. Can a dealer do this or does the 3 day rule / right to resind apply?

I am looking to get a new car for under 25k. Highest criteria is fastest as possible with lowest miles possible. Also has to be decently nice on the inside and a manual transmission. Choices so far:
2003-2004 Mustang Mach 1
Nissan 350Z
Audi S4
Pontiac GTO
Chevrolet Corvette C5
Mazda RX-8
2004-2005 Jetta GLI

If you have a new car, great. If not, which of these choices and why?

......when dealers dont adhere to it?
If a vehicle has a value, based on its age, miles, condition etc, then surely that is the price.
Reason for the rant is that why wont a dealer ever give you a true and actual price for your trade in / part ex?
If they want Retail for theirs, then surely its only fair to give a p/x price based on actual prices given in the "Bible".....?
I appreciate all the vat / profit / prep time / warranty angle,
but surely thats why Retail price is high, and Trade in price low!

Simple as that, will my age affect my APR on a car loan (looking at about 3500-4000), I'll be 18 when I get the car and I DO NOT have a credit card, so I really don't have a credit history.

I guess also, how much will my APR vary Based on my credit rating/history, by the time I get the car I will have had a credit card for about two months with it being paid off every month.

I have a car loan for a 2005 car. I cannot afford the loan, want to sell the car and then purchase something MUCH less expensive. Bank informs me that I cannot sell the car w/o
1. Paying off the loan in full first. ($16,000--can't do!)
-OR-
2. Providing a prospective buyer who is willing finance.
Is there a "legal" way to take care of this situation?

We are thinking of refinancing our car loan but when I called the loan officer, he looked up our car's current value at $14,500 approximately, but we owe about $17,000. The loan officer said in order to refinance we would have to pay the difference of $2,500. Is this standard? When I was telling my Mom she acted as though she never heard of that.

I sent a repo letter to my friend who has failed to pay the monthly payment on a car I'm selling him. It states if he doesn't pay the full amount within 10 days then I will repossess it. The letter was sent certified meaning it requires a signature for delivery. HERE IS MY PROBLEM. IF HE FAILS TO PICK IT UP FROM THE POST OFFICE AM I REQUIRED TO SEND ANOTHER ONE AND GIVE HIM ANOTHER 10 DAYS TO PAY THE FULL AMOUNT OR CAN I JUST TAKE THE CAR. IT DOESN'T SEEM RIGHT THAT I HAVE TO WAIT EVEN LONGER BECAUSE HE REFUSES TO PICK THE LETTER UP OR SIGN FOR IT.

I am looking at trading in my ext cab for a truck with a full back seat. Other specks that are a must is four doors and must be a 4x4. As I live in a snowy place. It probably will not be used for towing but will be used on off road trails for hunting.

I am looking at spending about 6-9k for it. I was thinking of 98-02 with no more than 120k miles.

I have been told that the Ford F150 or the tundra would be best, but what about the Ram 1500 or Chevy 1500?

No buyer expects to pay the full asking price, and no seller expects to sell for the full asking price.

But what percentage should you knock off? Where should you start when offering first?

Is the percentage different for a private seller to a garage forecourt? or is it just the starting price which is different?

(Just for your info, im thinking about this as im looking at buying a car which is advertised on a forecourt at £4k)
