It may cost you more money with legal advice (which is what it would eventually come down to) to try to fight this than what the actual car was worth.
Unless you actually have a large bank account to fight "for the principle of it" I would just let it be an expensive lesson to you. There is NOTHING worse than an uneducated consumer.
Also, just because a car has had "front end damage" doesn't mean it will be a lemon. It will, however, hurt you financially the day you decide to re-sell the car or trade it in because there are EDUCATED CONSUMERS out there who actually do their homework prior to buying cars.
And finally... not ALL accidents/incidents are reported to carfax anyway. At the end of the day, it's only a flawed tool to 'help' you. No guarantees that a clean Carfax record guarantees a clean history.

Dealerships have to notify you if there has been damage to the car. Especially if carfax has it posted. Most reputable dealershps run a carfax before they sell it to make sure there are no problems. Did you sign an "AS IS" statement? If you did, you may be out of luck, but I would certainly go to the dealership, carfax and all and make a stink about it.
Next time, run a carfax BEFORE you buy the car, or ask the dealership to run one so you can see it.

Yes there actually is.
Did you buy from a dealer, the dealer is REQUIRED to inform you of the damage. If he did not then take the car fax report to him and show him. If he had no knowledge then read on.
Did you buy it from and individual.
They too are required to tell you but most of the time they feel that no ask no tell. He most likely knew about the damage.
You may be worrying about nothing as the damage could have been repaired with no long term effects.
Go get a 4 wheel alignment done. It will cost you a few bucks, tell the shop your story and they can check it for long term damage. I would.

Most used car dealers will have an "as is" agreement. There isn't really anything you can do. If you bought the car and something is wrong with it, you might be able to work out a deal with the dealer. They might be able to help you out in fixing it, but if the car is running fine, then I shouldn't worry about it. There are always risks in buying used vehicles, and you found out the hard way. Sorry, and good luck!

it is why i do no longer only like the ninety 9 down lots, yet you had each and every risk to have the automobile inspected until eventually now paying for it. in case you probably did no longer purchase a guaranty the sale is as-is. You heavily ought to have found out that a 12 year previous motor vehicle with 230k miles is gonna need somewhat artwork and that it wasn't well worth as much as they charged you, yet nevertheless the place else ought to you have gotten a automobile with only $3 hundred down.

Look on car title to see if "salvage" is listed.If-so the car is only worth about 1/2 wholesale price. If not- then damage was mostly cosmetic.

Yes you should have checked prior; however, if you bought it from a dealer then you may have some recourse. #1 check the Lemon Laws in your state (and despite what other say they DO sometimes apply to used cars as well, esp. from a dealer); #2 if the dealer should by lemon laws do something (or he failed to disclose information) immediately file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office in your state.

once you own the car, it's yours. you should have done the carfax report before you bought the car. now that you own it, you can either fix it or take it to a garage to make sure the front end has been fixed properly. basically, it's all yours.

i wouldnt worry about it too much if the car doesnt have a salvage or rebuilt title...people wreck cars and most shops fix them pretty well if they have been around a few years and the damage is minor

unless you bought it from a dealer, prob not. even then its as is, but the dealer has an interest in maintaining goodwill, so if you feel wronged, take the issue to him.
