Start by being honest with yourself and go to www.kbb.com and/or edmunds.com
You can see what they are selling for there and you can also check the free classified mags such as AutoRv Trader.

Then put it on www.craigslist.org rather than ebay, because the people looking on craigslist are local to you rather than some a**hole from "Great Britian" who is "buying" for an "associate" who wishes to remain anonymous...trying to pass off a bogus money-order.
Also, craigslist is free. People in your area will see it, and while it may not be the best time to sell a Corvette, You can play that aspect to your advantage and make it seem like a good deal for whoever does buy it.
Without looking (due to the fact that I don't need to know)
I would guess a fair price to be in the 5K to 9K range.
You as the owner will honestly know the condition, and that will determine most of the value.
I.E. No cracks in the 'glass, engine runs or runs STRONG, condition of the interior, yada yada yada.

Good luck with it.
PS You can also think about Barter on craigslist if you know what you need, and the value of what you need/want...

Go on ebay and see what others similar Vettes are selling for.
82 was the last year for the shark body style (aka C3, which means a 3rd generation body style). Check the NADA website for used vehicle values.
Lots of folks discount that drive train because of the cross-fire injection engine and low horse power rating. Make it look as good as you can before putting the FOR SALE sign on it.

Good Luck

My suggestion: take tons of pictures of the car when it's all nice and shiny. then put it on eBay with a starting bid of whatever is the bare minimum you'll accept for it, and list it with "no reserve". make sure you put that in big letters at the top, it will get people's attention.
