Historically the best comes from the southern States. In reality, if you're using it for a project, it doesn't matter.

There is a 95% wool, 5% polyester that I have used and it is the easiest to work with.

As for best wool, in reality it is between New Zealand and Canada (Chile in an extremely close 3rd)

Australian cotton wool is the best in the world.However they are very expensive.Kashmiri wool will be a good choice-good quality&affordable
