I've decided I will be buying a Honda in a month or so. I want to get Civic Si for its performance and its value in the long run. Now...Si Sedan or Coupe??? I test drove the sedan and I love it, but they both look really nice.

I'm almost 17 and have my provisional driving license. I'm not really bothered if I can drive a car or not. I probably won't use a car much at all as I prefer walking. Anyway, my parents want to get me a small car of my own to practice in and for when I have a licence but want me to put £1000 towards it. I can afford this but it's an insane amount of money for all that a car would benefit me.

Thoughts?

My dad wants to buy my car I am currently financing. Since I don't have the title, how could i work it out so that my name is taken off of the loan and it goes under his name. Basically we are just switching names. He will take over the payments, and my hands will be free. Is there a way to do that? Can we do it? Obviously I can trust him cuz he is my father. I need a bigger vehicle, thats why I want to sell it to him. He is gonna give me a few thousand on the side to put a down payment on a new truck. Thanks!

I got a 2004 Saturn Ion Coupe last week, I'd been wanting one for awhile. But, I was broke from repairs on my other car so I couldn't afford a carfax.com report, but I honestly thought I didn't need it on a newer car.

Yes, I regret that now!

They were VERY flexible (no trade, $500 down) and let me wait until after the Thanksgiving break to get insurance. Well, yesterday my insurance agent found a wreck from 12/2005. He said that possibly makes it a salvage vehicle, but he insisted he doubts it.

He called the dealer and they denied it but said they're still waiting on the title. Last week they insisted it hadn't even been in an accident! Now they're offering to let me select another vehicle from their lot but I want an Ion.

So, am I entitled to a full refund (or at least some kind of discount if it's just wrecked)? Can I take my financing elsewhere, even though I applied for the loan through them? I'm not stuck, am I?

Anyone mind running a carfax report? :-)

The reason I ask this is because this car is not of normal value. I bought it for $225,000 and just want to get the most for it right now, which I understand to be around $160,000.

Any and all help would be highly appreciated, thank you.

When can you get the best deals from a car dealer, if I had no timetable to buy one? I just want the best deal, even if I have to wait 6-9 months. Is it around Xmas, or when the new models come out and you get an older model.

I do want a new car, not used.

Also, any tips on getting a vehicle even cheaper?

What are some good, moderately priced, medium to small sized SUVs? I don't want a huge Escalade or anything of that caliber. I want a 6 cylinder if possible. Any suggestions?

When I traded in a car and bought a new one the dealership either sold or auctioned my trade-in with my licience plates still on there. Some Idiot driving with my old plates parked illegally in Florida and the state of Florida wants me to pay fine ! I do not even go to Florida ! I am sooo angry and called the court house and lady said I am still responsable to pay the fine. Why if I traded in car, whose fault is it mine or dealership what should they have done ? Someone is driving around Florida with my old plates still registered in my name, lady in courthouse said it was a white chevy van and I did not own a van it was a diffrent model I traded in. I sent Austin a letter from the dealership I traded car in but got no response and recived another collecion agency letter and still lady in florida says I am responsable. HELP!!

I bought the car from a reputable dealer in Northeastern Illinois. It was sold as is with no warranty. Does Illinois law allow for return of used cars with hidden defects?

I am a college student that needs a car. I need something reliable and with alot of room. I found this car:

1999 Ford Taurus with 90,000 miles for 3,500, drives great, one owner.
(blue book value 5,500)

Good Deal or Bad Deal

(and if you [or someone you know] had or have a taurus, tell me the experiences)
