I am planning to buy the new Nissan Altima 2007 2.5 S model but i found out that ABS is not standard but optional on the car. So that got me into thinking whether ABS is a must have or a good to have option. I had a honda civic before and i have roughed it a lot but never lost control, it didn't have ABS on it.

Let me know your answers keeping in mind the Altima.
Thanks

I am looking into purchasing a 2003 Chevy Silverado with 42,000miles on it. I understand the risk involved even though it is a GM certified. Should I go ahead and get a warranty?

When does Honda recommend the timing belt be replaced for a 1997 Accord LX?

A seller claims he has replaced the timing belt before hitting 80K, but he does not have the receipts (he has all other maintainace records in order). He is willing to give out the phone number of the mechanic who presumably did the work. Sounds credible?

Hello,

I hope you guys can help me. I have recently secured a new job
(yeah!) and I have been told that I need to have a look at business car leases. My employer has mini coopers as their lease cars and I need to find one for myself! I have been looking on the internet and I don't understand the difference between non maintainted and fully maintained car leases and other details regarding these contracts. I f anyone can help that would be great. In addition to this if you know any websites which are cheap for lease cars that would be excellent, thank you in advance for you help.

I am in the process of trading in my 2004 car on a a new truck and in doing my research am finding the NADA trade-in value is over $2000 higher than the Kelly Blue Book value; for the same car! Of course, the dealer presented me with a deal reflecting the Kelly value, and I of course countered with the NADA value...

So, which value should I deem realistic and why such a huge difference?

Ah, the pleasantries of buying a car...

It's a 92 Honda Accord with 150,000 miles. They are asking for $1,200. I was wondering if this would be a good deal for me to buy this car.

I will be buying a used Nissan Altima in February 2007. Please give me your advice on which plan you think is better, or suggest an alternate plan.

Plan A - I buy a 2003 model Nissan Altima from a dealership. The current blue book value is about $14,000 for a car with about 55,000 miles. I would finance this car over 4 years (but probably will pay it off in 3 years as I did with my previous car).

Plan B - I buy a 2000 model Nissan Altima with slightly higher than average mileage (80,000 - 90,000 miles) from a private party for about $5,000.

Im am trying to get the title and registration changed to my dad's name. Can I sell my car to my dad for $1 so that he can get new registration and a new title in his name?

Since this is a private to private sell--there would be no taxes, right?

Anyone know if this is possible? I've tried the DMV site but did not see anything regarding this.
