Toyota has a nice line. But for a warranty I would look into Hyundai's they get good gas mileage and the performance is as good as any others. The big difference is the 100,000 mile warranty

If you can find a Honda C-RV or an Element at a decent price.. They are good reliable small SUVs built on a beefed up Civic chassis.

The new Rav 4's are great. The quality is very good, and the price is decent. They get fairly good gas mileage as well. Best of luck with your decision.

Toyota line of SUV's, ie the RAV4 and 4Runner. Solid vehicles and retain value forever.

4 runners are pretty good, but the RAV 4s suck. I worked at a Toyota dealership and the engine blocks are peices of junk.

I am not gonna send you to a biased wesbite, I am just gonna tell you my own opion from my own experience.
Performance wise and money wise - I would have to say the Nissan Xterra.
