When does Honda recommend the timing belt be replaced for a 1997 Accord LX?

A seller claims he has replaced the timing belt before hitting 80K, but he does not have the receipts (he has all other maintainace records in order). He is willing to give out the phone number of the mechanic who presumably did the work. Sounds credible?

the book says every 50-60 thousand miles on it,and id go by it,because It can cost a small fortune to repair one that has valve damage from a belt breaking on it,i had one this yer already, and its around 1800 to start with on a repair ,so replacing a belt is a lot cheaper than replacing an engine ,or a head on one, good luck i hope this help,s you.

Just know if the belt breaks you may be looking at $2500+ in valve damage.
