About how much money and time would it take to import a Ford S-MAX to the USA?

I got screwed on my first car purchase about three years ago, between the sales person and the bank. I ended up paying just about 3000 more than the vehicle was worth, and that is how I got into the situation. I have been on time with every payment, and I am now in an area where my current vehicle is not suitable for the climate. I live in Alaska, with a rear-wheel drive car. Not a good combo. Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

I drive around 20000-30000 miles every year and only in B class roads. Some A-class roads at times, but Motorways on ly on holidays etc.
So is it a BMW 525D, or 270CDI mercedez ? Comfort and handling is important - I am not that worried about performance.

Would you rather pay $6000 dollars for a car that was clean with new tires or $5000 for the same car with an oil pan leak and in need of new tires?

We need something to haul us, our four kids, and our big travel trailer on long vacations. So far, all we can find is used Ford Excursions, or GMC Suburbans. Any one know of anything else, new or used, that would work? Anything but a pickup truck would be a welcome suggestion.

I'm buying my first car, and I'm torn between buying a used foreign cars, or American cars. I don't want to spend more than $10,000 over 24 months.
So I like to know what are the things to put into consideration when you want to get a car? Would it be better to buy from a private seller or dealer? What would you buy? Please give me your honest opinion. I just want a car that will serve me well and for years.

I have to move by december 1. I live on Long Island, the South Shore. I have hundreds of Monte Carlo used parts and need to sell them fast. Anyone know of a place to sell them, someone who needs them, or a place online to sell them? eBay and Craigslist are not working for me. I need another avenue, preferable in the Long Island area. what legal actions can you take after buying a used vehicle from a car rental/ dealer i.e. budget or enterprise, then 3 months later you find out your new used vehicle has flood damage i.e. rust under the seats, exhaust system has more rust than normalfor a van that's only 2 yrs old, and has a moldy odor?

2 roomates
each have their own vehicle
both vehicles crap the bed
roomate B moves out but leaves vehicle in driveway
roomate A asks roomate B if he can sell his car with his own car
roomate B gives his permission
3 months later somone buys the vehicles for $1000

Roomate A feels roomate B does not deserve half the cash based on:
1. he payed $60 for the ad
2. he still owes $540 on the loan
3. roomate B's vehicle sat in roomate A's driveway for 3 months
4. roomate B's vehicle was payed off so any cash he received was pocketed

Roomate B feels he deserved half the cash based on:
1. 2 vehicles 1 ad, give $30 to roomate A for half the cost of the ad
2. his vehicle is worth more than roomate A's vehicle
3. he is going to school and only has a part time job, he could use the cash


I hope I did not reveal which roomate I am, but what I am wondering if roomate A is justified in not giving roomate B half the cash.

Please consider both point of views. Thanks
