Why in the world would you want to restore a dodge omni..my grandparents used to have one of those and we would duck whenever we saw ppl...b/c those cars are wierd..but if you really like it thats all that matters i suppose...but i would say sell the omni and get a old muscle car like a camaro and restore that....

LOL! You can probably convince her, but it's gonna cost you. She doesn't care if you actually have the car, but she's already spent that money mentally. Find out what she wants and make her a deal, you get her what she wants and you get to keep the car. Otherwise, she is going to sell it when you're not home.....I would.

lol,,I'm in the same boat,,i got a 87 Nissan sports coupe im restoring, and i have heard the story,i tell mine that its going to be really nice, and its not going to cost that much to do it,and then if that don't work,,i tell her i could be setting in the house all the time when im not working, and then there,s silence, and this has worked so far,but i may need a new reason before long ,because i went past the one thousand dollar mark a few days ago,so i may be needing your help, but try this ,it might work for a little while, and if all else fails ,,tell her its a man thing,,good luck i hope this help,s.

Find something that's really important to her, and tell her if your car goes, her item goes as well. Just make sure that it's something that you know she won't part with, so you won't have to follow through with your agreement. Plus, just remind her that the money you guys earn isn't hers only. I'm sure she buys things that she wants, so you should be able to do the same.

Tell her it's your guyses back up car, in case any of the other ones break down, and have to go to the shop.

Dude, you must plan on never getting laid again.
Part that junker out on e-bay or do the right thing and donate it to a local high school auto repair shop.
Once that turd is out of the driveway, you can get on with your life.

ask her if she drives it if she dont then she dont need to worry about it !
i had the same problem about a 1993 tempo , its now all pimped has a racing stripe to boot she dont drive it so its not really her consern , altho it could cause her to get pissed at you if your a jerk about it but then again she probably pissed cuz you have not bent over and got rid of it yet

Man up. Or buy her a different car.
If not, buy a corvette and tell her you're going through a midlife crisis.
