I sure would! My first was a 1964 Pontiac Grand Prix 2 door hardtop coupe with a 421 cid (7.0 liter) V8 with dual 4 barrel carbs...it could smoke the back tires for 50 yards (meters) It was a lot of fun when gasoline was 50 cents a gallon.

As nostalgic as it would be, I wouldn't want my first car back. It'll be 30 now, and to be honest I'd rather restore something a bit more special, or build a kitcar.

Whilst I do have fond memories of my first car, an Austin Maxi - one of the first cars to have 5 gears as standard - I don't want it back thanks. A Triumph Spitfire with a 2 litre straight six shoe-horned under the bonnet is far more fun ...!

Nope, it was a Maestro. I would have my Dad's first car back and restore it though, an Austin Martin!

Yes!! It was a '68 Volkswagen Beatle (Slug Bug!!) and it was in great condition at that time (in the 80's). Someone hit me in the school parking lot while they were racing across the stalls and totaled it. I loved my first car!!

No a Ford Fiesta mk1, 1.1l someone set fire to it, so a restoration would involve new shell, new glass, new interior etc. and it would still be slow.
