hi there well this is a very general question, as any car can be good or bad it all depends on many different factors including age mileage and care taken and maintainence peformed and so forth

in personal experience i have a friend who owns an altima and the transmission went out on him, and i helped him put another one over at the garage on the lift, the replacement trans has very low mileage(automatic) and it acts like the torque converter is stuck locked in, it is hard to acclerate
so personally i would never buy one of these cars, but then i am no real fan of foreign vehicles, so i am biased mostly alsthough it is good to have great gas mileage

vehicles are tradeoffs, that are good and they are bad, each one is unique, its own animal, just like ppl

good luck

I had a '93 with 214,000 when I sold it. The engine is rock solid. Very, very reliable car.

It really depends. If you keep it serviced , change oil and keep it in good shape it can last a long time.
