If the battery life is approximately 6 years and the cost to replace batteries is (est) $2,500-$3,000 at that time, what is the resale value after 5 or 6 years? And is the fuel cost savings actually realized and worth it when figuring in this "maintenance" cost, with the additional up front purchase cost?

I sold my car three months ago , After two months later, I discovered that the person who got my car didn't report to DMV that I sold my car to him...I noticed that because I got two parking violation tickets by mail for the car that i sold...those two tickets are not mine at all.It is the buyers. Unfortunately , I lost the contact address for the buyer, all i have is his Cell phone number, And also, I talked to DMV that they didn't have any record for selling activity on my car...I estimate that the buyer is cheating on me. and I didn't give a call to him because I know he might not give me a real address and contact information to me so i can find him... Please help and give me advices what i can do now ........

unioun that he was going to mail the title to them of which he never did. I was given a license plate by the credit unioun as I paid them all the money for registration. The credit unioun took the money off my account and that made me feel that they registered the car and iI was never informed by them that they did'nt register the car. I was only when I could'nt renew the license plate that I went to them And I was told that they could'nt get the title from the dealer, so now I cant drive my car. I asked them what they did with the money taken off my account they told me that they placed it in a corridor. Can some one help?

I want to spend twenty thousand or less for a new car. What would you get? I want something sporty, front wheel drive, and good gas mileage. So far I like the two door scion, honda civic, hyundai tiberon, or the pontiac g5.

I am thinking of buying one.

Before anyone suggests a Prius, I don't like them. I can't see anything out the rear-view window, they are more expensive, and they look weird.

If you buy a used car that was sold back to the dealer that was a lemon law car - what recourse is there when that problem happens again? we were given in writing this problem should not happen within one year. Could we also use the same lemon law and have the dealer purchase it back?

I'm looking for a used car that will give 4 years or more of economical operation and maintenance. It needs to have 4 doors and a large trunk to carry my camping gear and the 2 large toolboxes I need every day for work. Must have automatic and cold air-conditioning, a smooth and quiet ride. Prefer buckets seats up front with center floor console and a v6 (or v8 even better). $5,000 is the top of what I can afford.

My current 1996 Dodge Intrepid has over 240,000 miles on it's 3.5L v6 and gets an overall average of 24 mpg. A similar car is what I'm looking for - only with far fewer miles on it.

I am going to trade in my vehicle for a new one - i bought it new. It is in good - excellent condition.. It is a 2004 Chevrolet Impala with 37000 miles. I have an excess amount in my GMAC loan that i will have to roll over by about $4,000..00 My question is: NEW CAR DEARSHIP ADS IN SUNDAY PAPERS. A "few" of the big name dealerships run full page "SPLASHY" ads in the Sunday auto sections. They advertise new vehicles well below the cost for the same s at their other local franchises. For instance One dealer has NEW 2006 Chevrolet Silverados (Not a misprint) for $9600.00, 2006 New Impalas for $15,000.00, New 2006 Equinox for $19,000.00 There are only a few dealers that offer these prices for my . They are in Outlying are locations. On the phone the dealer tells me the ad prices ARE within the range advertised. I have to get my ROLLOVER balance down without getting into a lesser .

MSRP: $14,100.00
Non-negotiable (trust me, I tried; I even talked to the GM about removing it) "administration fee" on all new cars: $195.00 (Note: Two other dealerships I went to wanted to charge $150.00 and $199.00 for the same.)
Total asking price: $14,295.00

Consumer Reports invoice: $13,270.00

Their Invoice: $13,395.00 (included advertising fees and a small charge for fuel)

I paid: $13,595 ($200.00 over their invoice), plus the administration fee of $195.00 for a total of $13,790.00: $505.00 less than their asking price.

There was a $251.00 holdback. I'm guessing that $100.00 of the administration fee was profit on their part. So, assuming the charges on their invoice for advertising and fuel were legitimate, that's $200.00 over invoice + $251.00 holdback + $100.00 = $551.00 profit for the dealer.

How did I do? Could I have done better?
