My wife and I signed a contract to purchase a car in Arkansas. We where approved for financing on that Friday evening. By the time the following Monday rolled around we had second thoughts and wanted to return the car. My financing company had yet to sent the money for the car. The dealership asked to have a chance to find the car we really ended up wanting (which had a couple extra options) and was unable to find it. Upon asking to return the car they "hinted" that they "could legally take action". This situation has quickly turned from the the dealership willing to do anything to make us happy to "they may take legal action." I've been told by a few experienced dealership managers that since I have not given them any money, that only remote thing they could do is charge me for the 3 1/2 days I've had the car, but that they probably would not even do that. Can someone please advise.

This is not an issue for me as I'm Canadian and virtually everything I buy, except commodaties, are from elsewhere. The Camaro though is an American icon. Even though it may be built in one of the highest qualtiy plants in North America, would you, as an American still love this car if it's made outside of the USA? This is not for sure, but Canadian unions have been negotiating since spring for the work, and have given up generous retirement packages. What do you think?

I've got a '98 Mazda B3000 at this time, but frequently find that I'm in need of transporting four people in it, which, of course, it isn't built for. My question is, what pickups that aren't full -sized (like the Toyota Tundra or Ford F-150) have four-door crew type seating for four adults. I like the physical width and length of the Mazda B3000 I have, and would prefer to go with a truck that sacrifices just enough of the bed to give seating for four adults and a smaller bed. Recommendations very much appreciated. Thanks.

I am looking to buy a new car but would like to find out how much my car is worth, so I can decide whether I want to sell it or trade it in! I have had this car completley re-furbished! The new engine NOW only has around 60,000 miles on it. The car's body has about 187,000 miles on it but EVERYTHING under the hood has been replaced except for the tranny and it is in top notch condition! The Air condition and heat does not work, however if you know anything about Japanese cars you would know that in a few years this will be a classic.....I just don't want to wait any longer! HELP

i went to get a quote on a car i've been looking at.
i wasn't thinking, & went by myself, even though i was sure they'd take advantage of me (i'm young, naive, never bought a car before, etc etc etc.)

so after getting the quote i needed, i told the salesman that i wanted to go home & let it marinate before making my decision.. but i felt like he wouldn't let me leave until i signed the contract! every excuse i made, he came up with a solution... just so i'd leave that lot with the car.

i was pressured.

i looked over my finaces (and the contract/super-high interest rate) & i know i can't afford it. so about an hour later, i took the car back. told them i made a HUGE mistake. they said they couldn't do a damn thing about it.

i'm stuck.

and i feel that the only way out is to not pay.
let them reposses the car.

i don't want to ruin my credit. & i don't even know if i'd have to pay anything after they take the car from me.

help??
